‘Dexter: Original Sin’ Reveals First Look Trailer and Premiere Date for Prequel Series

As a seasoned gamer of both virtual and real-life thrillers, I must say the return of Dexter Morgan in “Dexter: Original Sin” is like striking gold in a digital mineshaft. The teaser trailer alone has me on the edge of my seat, reminiscent of those nail-biting moments during my marathon sessions of Silent Hill or Resident Evil.

Dexter Morgan makes his comeback in the initial sneak peek trailer for the spin-off series titled Dexter: New Beginning.

As an ardent admirer, I’m thrilled to share that the much-anticipated premiere date for the Paramount+ and Showtime series is set: December 13 on streaming platforms, and December 15 on TV broadcasts. This intriguing series features Michael C. Hall lending his voice to the young, budding serial killer protagonist from within.

The story unfolds in 1991 Miami and focuses on a youthful character named Dexter (Patrick Gibson). As he evolves from being a student, Dexter transforms into an avenging serial killer. When his bloodthirsty impulses become too strong to resist, he must discover how to harness his inner darkness. With the support of his father, Harry (Christian Slater), he devises a Code that assists him in tracking and eliminating individuals who warrant removal from society without alerting the authorities. This proves to be quite a test for young Dexter as he embarks on a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.

In addition to Patrick Dempsey, the cast of Original Sin includes Molly Brown, James Martinez, Christina Milian, Alex Shimizu, Reno Wilson, and a special appearance by Sarah Michelle Gellar.

I’m back at the gaming console for another season of this captivating game series, and I’m thrilled to have Clyde Phillips, the mastermind behind the brilliant first four seasons, steering the ship once more!

The show is currently in production in Los Angeles on its 10-episode debut season. In addition to Phillips and Hall, executive producers also include Scott Reynolds (Jessica Jones), Mary Leah Sutton (Resident Evil), Tony Hernandez (Emily in Paris) and Lilly Burns (Russian Doll), with the series being produced by Robert Lloyd Lewis (The Lincoln Lawyer). Michael Lehmann (Heathers) serves as directing executive producer.
