Dhanashree Verma’s new music video ‘Dekha Ji Dekha Maine’ highlights domestic abuse and adultery amid divorce from Yuzvendra Chahal

Yuzvendra Chahal, an Indian cricketer, and his spouse, Dhanashree Verma, have garnered attention due to rumors of their impending divorce, which has been spreading rapidly in recent times. Although neither party has publicly addressed the matter, they were both seen at a family court on March 20, 2025, where their divorce was officially finalized. In the midst of navigating personal difficulties, Verma produced a music video that tackles themes such as infidelity and domestic abuse.

On March 20, 2025, I couldn’t help but jump for joy when my beloved choreographer and social media queen, Dhanashree Verma, shared on her Instagram that her latest music video, ‘Dekha Ji Dekha Maine’, was finally coming out! This captivating piece also stars the mesmerizing Paatal Lok actor Ishwak Singh. The song tackles heavy topics like domestic violence, infidelity, and destructive relationships – issues that resonate deeply with me as a fan, and I can’t wait to see how she masterfully weaves these themes into her art!

Previously, the Bombay High Court had granted an exception to the usual six-month waiting period and instructed the family court to conclude the divorce proceedings of the famous couple by March 20, 2025. As a result, on Thursday, both Verma and Chahal were observed entering the Bandra Family Court accompanied by their legal representatives for their divorce hearing.

Following the court hearing, Nitin Kumar Gupta, Yuzvendra Chahal’s lawyer, informed ANI that the celebrities’ divorce had been granted by the court. As stated by the advocate, “The court has approved the joint petition submitted by both parties. The two are no longer husband and wife.” According to a report from Bar and Bench, Chahal will pay Dhanashree Verma approximately 4.75 crore rupees as alimony.

If you’re not already in the know, Chahal and Dhanashree tied the knot in a private wedding back in 2020. But after spending two years apart, they decided to part ways amicably and filed for divorce in February 2025. There was quite a stir on social media when the Indian cricketer was seen attending the Champions Trophy 2025 Final with his friend RJ Mahvash, prior to their separation.
