Last March, a video emerged of me, Neha Kakkar, shedding tears and apologizing to my fans during a concert in Melbourne. As per the news, I arrived three hours late at the venue, and I explained to the audience that due to the organizers’ poor planning, my team and I were forced to perform under difficult circumstances. Nevertheless, Australian event coordinators Pace D and Bikram Singh Randhawa have since disputed my claims, describing them as untrue.
During a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, it’s said that rapper and emcee Pace D disclosed that Beat Production from Melbourne extended an invitation to singer Neha Kakkar for the upcoming event. He further explained that since both parties have already expressed their views openly, he saw no need to remain discreet about this matter.
As stated, he was there at the event location and personally observed the circumstances. He additionally asserted that he conversed with organizer Preet Pabla, whom he deemed honest and reliable. In his account, Pace D said that Pabla informed him about Neha’s tardiness and multiple setbacks, and furthermore, she had often indicated her unwillingness by stating phrases such as, “I won’t go now; I won’t participate.
In line with his previous comment, it’s said that Bikram Singh Randhawa further mentioned that the crowd was already assembled, showing their eagerness as they eagerly anticipated Neha Kakkar’s entrance onto the stage.
Despite her arrival at 10 PM, which was a full two-and-a-half hours past the scheduled start time of 7:30 PM, it seemed that the event’s commencement caused some agitation among the attendees. This is particularly true in Australia, where promptness holds great significance. Notably, many individuals had organized their schedules around this concert, some even going as far as spending up to AUD 300 (roughly equivalent to INR 15,000 – 16,000) for tickets, with the intention of attending with their families.
Based on D’s claims, it was suggested to the organizers that the performance would only happen once the venue was fully packed, as he put it, “With just 700 people here? I won’t perform until more folks fill in and this place is packed.
However, Neha Kakkar offered an alternative perspective, claiming that the organizers prematurely ended the event without settling outstanding dues.
Furthermore, she asserted that her team lacked essential provisions like meals, lodging, and even potable water. Moreover, she suggested that there was a significant gap in communication concerning the performance, and the sound check was postponed because suppliers hadn’t been paid promptly.
Contrarily, Pace D disputed Neha Kakkar’s accusations, emphasizing that all necessary technical arrangements for the event were adequately handled. He apparently declared that it was a significant concert where the complete tech requirements, as outlined in the rider, had been met.
As far as he’s concerned, the initial performances proceeded without a hitch, with every artist, including Neha, ensuring their microphones and equipment were properly set up. However, from what he and others observed directly, it seemed that her comments didn’t accurately portray the reality of the situation.
