Interestingly, Ishaan disclosed that he shed 10 kilos in just two months for Neeraj Ghaywan’s film, following the completion of “The Royals” shoot.

In a recent chat with Hindustan Times, actor Ishaan Khatter mentioned that he began filming for Homebound shortly following the completion of The Royals. He explained, “I dived into Homebound only about two months after wrapping up The Royals. To embody my character, I needed to shed some layers and lose approximately 10 kilos.

Ishaan went on to say that following everything he’d gone through with the two characters and himself, it was time for him to absorb it all. He also shared that he enjoyed working on both of them immensely. The actor expressed his delight in seeing his hopes for successful outcomes for both productions finally coming true.

Previously, it had been shared that renowned filmmaker Martin Scorsese was set to serve as an executive producer for the project titled Homebound. In the course of our discussion, actor Ishaan Khatter expressed his excitement over having a talent of Martin Scorsese’s caliber joining their team.

As a fervent admirer, let me confess, I couldn’t help but share my immense pride and affection for the masterful director, Neeraj Ghaywan. In my humble opinion, there isn’t anyone more deserving of this adoration. Homebound, in my eyes, is nothing short of extraordinary, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have been a part of it.

The movie “Homebound” is set to debut in the Un Certain Regard section during the 78th Cannes Film Festival taking place from May 13 to 24, 2025. Actors like Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi Kapoor, and Vishal Jethwa will be featured in this production.

Previously, Neeraj’s movie earned high praise from Martin Scorsese. In his words, “I adored the narrative, the atmosphere, and I was eager to assist. Neeraj has skillfully created a captivating film that adds substantially to the rich tapestry of Indian cinema.
