It’s fascinating to learn about the intricate details behind the scenes, such as Ranveer’s initial wish for a tiger design in his mehendi, a nod to his upcoming film Simmba.

2018 saw the marriage of actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, which was more than just a wedding – it was an extravaganza held in Italy. For their mehendi ceremony, they engaged Veena Nagda, a well-known henna artist. Recently, Veena shared that at first, Singh requested a tiger instead of his bride’s initials to be part of the design for his mehendi art.

In a chat with Bollywood Now, Veena shared that during the shooting of “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani”, Deepika promised to hire her for her wedding. She also mentioned an interesting detail about Ranveer’s mehendi ceremony plans: At first, he intended to include a symbol from one of his movies, but ultimately opted to have his wife’s name instead. Veena fondly recalled her time with Singh at the mehendi function, explaining that initially, he wanted a tiger design in his mehendi as a nod to his upcoming film “Simmba”, but ended up choosing Deepika’s initials instead.

Veena shared that she discovered she was invited to Ranveer and Deepika’s wedding only when she went to the visa office and found a letter from Ranveer there. She clarified that the famous pair had hired her for a period of five days. When she noted that the mehendi ceremony usually spans just one day, they compensated her for all five days and made sure she had an enjoyable trip exploring Italy as well.

Veena pointed out that during their mehendi application session by Lake Como, it was quite chilly, but Deepika, who truly enjoyed getting mehendi, remained seated and endured the process with grace. Veena remarked that even in the cold, Deepika had mehendi applied to her hands and feet, and made every effort to get a deep color. She further noted that Deepika waited for the mehendi to harden slightly before she went dancing, to prevent damaging it.

In 2018, Ranveer and Deepika held a secretive wedding in beautiful Italy. This year, it was made public that the loving pair are anticipating their first baby, due to arrive in September.

In terms of their professional lives, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone will soon appear together on-screen in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming film titled “Singham Again.” This movie features an impressive ensemble cast that includes Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, and Jackie Shroff.
