Sonu disclosed that Salman attempted various methods to get him to drink alcohol, even trying to slip it into his drinks, but since he had never touched alcohol before, he chose to abstain from it.

In a recent conversation with Jist, Sonu Sood shared an amusing anecdote about his friend Salman Khan, who occasionally playfully offered him drinks laced with alcohol. Once, Salman would joke, “Just one task accomplished, bring me a Red Bull with a dash of alcohol.” However, these attempts never succeeded as the actor from Jodhaa Akbar sticks firmly to his abstinence from alcohol.

In a reveal, the actor known for “Happy New Year” disclosed an incident where Salman Khan tried slipping alcohol into his drink, presumably with the intention of persuading Sonu to taste alcohol. However, Sonu’s unwavering commitment to abstaining from alcohol prevented this attempt from succeeding.

Additionally, he added that the Tiger 3 actor didn’t have any harmful motives; instead, he attempted to convince him, which was acceptable. However, he remained firm in his decision. Sood clarified, “He would subtly offer me a drink, but I would always return it. He seemed concerned if I gave it to someone else. When one enjoys drinking, they often encourage others to join in, and that’s acceptable. However, main kabhi pee nahi kiya (I never consumed alcohol), I never had the desire for it.

Beyond the lead actor, several other cast members attempted to persuade Sonu Sood to sample alcohol or taste it, but he openly stated that he never had an inclination towards it and has no remorse about it. Simultaneously, he disclosed that despite having a monotonous diet, he adheres to it to preserve his health. The actor follows a straightforward yet stringent diet which consists of a small bowl of lentils, rice for lunch, and a few additional items that have assisted him in maintaining his fitness.

In terms of his professional endeavors, Sonu Sood is currently engaged in publicizing his upcoming action-packed movie titled Fateh. This film will serve as Sonu’s directorial debut. The plot of the movie is based on true cybercrime incidents that occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic. A star-studded cast, featuring Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raaz, Naseeruddin Shah, and others, graces the screen in this production, which is slated for a release date of January 10, 2025.
