As an ardent fan of Bollywood, I find myself constantly in awe of the camaraderie and wisdom shared by some of my favorite stars. Abhishek Bachchan‘s recent interview with ETimes has only added fuel to my admiration for this talented actor and his close friend, Shah Rukh Khan.
Abhishek Bachchan has a strong friendship with Shah Rukh Khan, and they’ve collaborated on movies such as Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and Happy New Year. In a recent interview, Junior Bachchan discussed some valuable advice SRK gave him before entering the acting world. This counsel later served as inspiration for a song in Bluffmaster.
In a recent interview with ETimes, Abhishek Bachchan recalled a moment when he was sitting with Uday Chopra in the latter’s garden. He shared that Shah Rukh Khan was also there, as they used to play cricket on Sunday. The actor remembered SRK talking to him and Uday as they were about to start their careers in films with Refugee and Mohabbatein, respectively.
Abhishek shared that Shah Rukh explained to them about two types of actors existing worldwide. He stated that according to SRK, one actor runs due to fear (because dogs are after him), while the other runs out of passion (because he enjoys it).
In their own words, King Khan advised them to take a secondary role and race ahead, as they found joy in it rather than being driven by any obligation.
Abhishek Bachchan explained that the line from the song “Right Here Right Now” in the movie Bluffmaster served as a special mantra for him and Uday Chopra. He would say at the end, “‘UC (Uday Chopra), keep running home boy.'” In essence, he described this piece of advice as a wonderful reminder to engage in activities because of love and passion.
He remarked that sometimes it didn’t work that way and people are ‘compelled’ to do stuff because of financial requirements or such.
In the upcoming film titled “King,” actors Abhishek Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan will join forces. This action-packed thriller, helmed by director Sujoy Ghosh, is being produced by Gauri Khan and Siddharth Anand. The cast also includes Suhana Khan and Abhay Verma. According to TopMob’s earlier reports, the filming for “King” will begin in January 2025 in Mumbai, followed by a shooting schedule in Europe.
