As a dedicated fan of Diljit Dosanjh, I must say that his journey has been nothing short of inspiring. From touring the world to cooking Kadahi Paneer and cracking us up with his hilarious voiceover, he never fails to surprise us. His recent Diwali video was a delightful treat, reminding us once again why we love him so much.

Following his global travels with Dil-Luminati, Diljit Dosanjh touched down in India recently. He initiated the Dil-Luminati India Tour 24 by putting on two shows in New Delhi first. Since then, social media has been filled with videos of his concerts. As he prepares to take the stage in Jaipur next, he shared a humorous video greeting his fans for Diwali. The video’s amusing touch was him preparing Kadahi Paneer and adding his signature witty commentary to it.

In a video shared by Diljit Dosanjh on Instagram, I got a glimpse of the singer-actor enjoying a festive atmosphere at home, with sparklers burning bright and diyas lighting up the space. Accompanied by his team, he then invited us into his charming kitchen to reveal the ingredients for his Kadahi Panner dish. As a celebrity known for his culinary prowess took over, I couldn’t help but be impressed by his exceptional cooking skills. Although the mouth-watering final product was certainly enticing, it was his hilarious commentary that had me laughing out loud!

Take a look:

Before embarking on his global tour, the actor was featured in Imtiaz Ali’s biographical drama film called Amar Singh Chamkila, alongside Parineeti Chopra. Diljit delivered a remarkable performance as the Punjabi folk singer in this biopic. However, it might surprise you to learn that the filmmaker initially had doubts about Dosanjh taking on the lead role in the hit movie?

In conversation with TopMob, Imtiaz Ali expressed doubts about working with Diljit. He felt uncertain if it would work out, suspecting that Diljit might not be able to handle the role. However, after some time, when he finally spoke to him, it was as if a new chapter had begun, and now he’s confident that it will definitely happen. In fact, he can hardly imagine anyone else taking on the role now.

The acclaimed filmmaker added, “In a sense, he’s been destined for Chamkila since his birth as he hails from the same region. Diljit, too, is a Malwa native, born in Punjab, from a smaller town. He speaks the language, understands the struggles of an artist in Punjab, and has risen to fame. He was familiar with Chamkila long before I even knew him. In fact, when we first spoke, he claimed that many people around the world believe they are the biggest fans of Chamkila, and he is one of them.

Have you got your hands on Diljit’s tour tickets?
