Diljit Dosanjh’s manager asks choreographer to 'stop spreading misinformation' on desi dancers' non-payment of dues during Dil-Luminati tour

As a dedicated fan of Diljit Dosanjh, I have been following his career closely and have had the privilege of witnessing his incredible journey to success. His music has touched my soul and inspired me in countless ways. However, recent allegations about him not paying Desi dancers during his North America tour, Dil-Luminati, left me feeling disheartened and disappointed.

A choreographer based in Los Angeles has accused Diljit Dosanjh, a singer and actor from Punjab, of not paying him for his services during Dosanjh’s North America tour, Dil-Luminati. In reaction to these accusations, the Bhangra team of Dosanjh has spoken out in support of their colleague and denied the allegations. More recently, Dosanjh’s manager has come forward with a statement clearing up the situation.

Diljit Dosanjh’s manager rubbishes rumors of non-payment to desi dancers 

On Instagram, Sonali Singh stated that neither Rajat Batta nor Manpreet Toor were reached out to by the official team regarding the misinformation they’ve been sharing on social media about the Dil-Luminati tour. The post clarified that Rajat and Manpreet held no role in the tour whatsoever.

Based on my understanding of the situation, I believe that there has been a misunderstanding or miscommunication regarding the involvement of Rajat Batta and Manpreet Toor in the Dil-Luminati tour. As someone who has worked on several productions before, I understand how important it is to clarify roles and responsibilities within a team to avoid any confusion or false narratives being presented to the public.

Based on my personal perspective and experiences, I firmly believe that it is crucial for individuals to respect the authenticity and integrity of professional work, particularly within the realm of dance and choreography. As someone who has spent years dedicated to the art form, I have witnessed firsthand the time, effort, and expertise that goes into creating a successful tour production.

LA-based Choreographer claims non-payment to Dil-Luminati tour 

In a recent Instagram post, Rocky accused the renowned GOAT singer of failing to pay the Desi dancers during his tour. Despite commending the artist for shattering barriers and drawing huge crowds in North America, Rocky voiced disappointment over the lack of recognition and fair compensation extended to Desi dancers within the industry.

Diljit’s Dil-Luminati Tour supposedly required its dancers to perform without compensation, according to his assertion.

In answer to Rajat’s criticisms, Diljit Dosanjh’s Bhangra group expressed solidarity with him via an Instagram post. They shared that from the start, including their initial collaboration and culminating in their performance, they experienced nothing but respect and professionalism at the hands of Diljit and his excellent team.

The team expressed great joy and pride over the event, which they considered a major accolade for their accomplishments on the global stage. They were deeply moved by Diljit’s warm appreciation and will cherish these memories forever.
