Diptyque Explores Nature’s Overlooked Treasures with New Fragrance Collection

Diptyque has launched a fresh chapter in their scent journey, introducing five new Eau de Parfums. Each fragrance is inspired by natural wonders that are often underappreciated, such as Coral Oscuro, Lunamaris, Bois Corsé, Lilyphéa and Rose Roche. These new scents make up the Les Essences de Diptyque collection.

1. The Corail Oscuro fragrance is inspired by corals and offers a charming combination of floral and mineral scents, with mandarin as the main note. This scent is strengthened by rockrose, making it reminiscent of the enchanting glimmer of mother-of-pearls.

As an admirer of the impressionistic art that beautifully captures the serene beauty of water lilies, I find Lilyphéa’s fragrance stars evoking a similar grace, filled with the sweet, enchanting aroma of Madagascan vanilla, delicately wrapped in soft green undertones. On the other hand, Rose Roche’s Eau de Parfum stirs my senses with its vibrant blend of Sicilian and Calabrian lemon notes, drawing inspiration from the radiant desert rose. This captivating scent offers an intriguing fusion of floral and citrus notes that shine a light on my olfactory experience.

For a long time, Diptyque’s ovoid bottles have become as emblematic as their oval-shaped labels. But with the new Les Essences de Diptyque collection, the Maison has reinvented its signature perfume bottle. Coming in an archetypal and contemporary form, the new bottle design appears rectangular when viewed from the front. From a bird’s eye view, the bottle is revealed with rounded edges, capped with a black spherical stopper.

The Les Essences de Diptyque collection will be available to shop through Diptyque’s boutiques and website starting September 3. The individual fragrances will come in 100ml sizes, retailing for $2,500 HKD (approx. $320). In addition, a Discovery set consisting of all five scents in 10ml bottles will also be purchaseable for $1,600 HKD (around $205 USD).
