Now, director has shared some exciting news on social media, stating that he is currently working on the script for the next installment. Moreover, he hinted that this upcoming film will draw inspiration from one of the greatest sequels ever made.

Titled “The Shadow Strays” and helmed by Timo Tjahjanto, this film premiered on Netflix in October of the previous year. The narrative revolves around Aurora Ribero’s character, a 17-year-old assassin nicknamed 13, who is under suspension following an unsuccessful mission in Japan. In contrast to her violent life, she develops a sense of morality when she encounters Monji, an 11-year-old child who lost his mother at the hands of a criminal syndicate. When Monji is kidnapped, 13 becomes determined to wreak havoc in order to free him, even if it means defying her mentor and the organization that employs her, known as The Shadow.
