Disney Fans Have A Lot To Say About Rachel Zegler In Snow White, But I'm Surprised They Don't Have More To Say About The Footage Dropping In The Middle Of The Night

As a hardcore gamer who’s grown up with Disney classics and played countless iterations of Snow White video games, this long-awaited live-action adaptation has me buzzing like never before! After years of anticipation, the first trailer for Snow White starring Rachel Zegler finally dropped at D23, and it was a magical spectacle to behold.

For quite some time now, we’ve been eagerly anticipating the live-action version of Snow White, and at D23, our long wait was rewarded with the debut of the trailer for the Disney film starring Rachel Zegler. Even though the video premiered in the early hours of the night, it has ignited a flurry of conversations among fans, which is truly exhilarating!

Following the unveiling of the initial trailer for the upcoming movie “Snow White”, set to debut in 2025 on May 21, fans couldn’t contain their enthusiasm. As soon as Rachel Zegler shared the video on her Instagram, a wave of praise and excitement swept through the comments section, with some well-known celebrities joining in: here are some of the most notable responses.

  • “I’m totally there!❤️❤️❤️” -Viola Davis
  • “That’s my girl of the world boss of the century my numba one inspiration!!!❤️” -Jack Dylan Grazer
  • “Iconic 🔥🔥🔥” -Julianne Hough
  • “STAR” -Joshua Colley
  • “Let’s gooooo! We in there!” -Lamorne Morris

Many of the West Side Story star’s fans took to the comments too, writing things like:

  • “Ohh sheet why do I have chills and tears😭” -ezyyyy__
  • “crying with joy! too excited❤️😭” -claudi_hock
  • “Erm yeah so I’m obsessed already” -ghoulgirelle
  • “She’s a PRINCESS! 🍎💙✨” -lmaak
  • “Seated WITH popcorn AND apples” -jessicamedley

I must confess, the buzz surrounding this film is absolutely electrifying! Given its tumultuous journey, it’s only natural that excitement abounds. The casting of Zegler as Snow White faced criticism and controversy over her initial comments about the storyline. Moreover, even the movie itself has not been spared from critique. To add to the drama, last year, the live-action Snow White was pushed back from its original release in March 2024 to May 2025. In essence, we’ve been waiting a while for this film, and with the trailer (which you can watch below) being so impressive, it’s no wonder people are expressing such enthusiasm!

Moving on to the comments, I particularly enjoyed the group of responses that connected Zegler’s role in this film with her character from “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snake“. She took on that role after her part in “Snow White“. Let me share some examples:

  • “i guess we’ve found where lucy gray ran off to” -hannah.ceron
  • “close enough, welcome back lucy gray baird ❤️💙💛” -lolsomeonefinally
  • “coriolanus SNOW. SNOW white. i’m seeing a pattern, maam.” -mollypbarry
  • “this is where lucy gray went” -ep1phanylover

Given that the story of “Songbirds and Snakes” concluded with Lucy fleeing from Snow in a woodland setting, it’s understandable why some fans share this enthusiasm, and I must admit, I appreciate the lively vibe as well.

Despite the excitement surrounding the movie and its lead actor being at the forefront, as expected, a witty remark resonated with me regarding the trailer’s vibe:

Rachel WHAT it’s 1am

Significantly, Zegler shared the video on her Instagram past midnight ET, and it was simultaneously uploaded to Disney’s YouTube channel. In essence, if my apartment fire alarm hadn’t woken me up in the dead of night, I wouldn’t have watched this trailer until today.

As a devoted fan, I must admit that the video’s delay was not what I expected. The reason for this is that it was initially premiered during D23, a grand occasion filled with Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and other exciting announcements. Given that this event took place on the West Coast, it occurred around 9 p.m. their time, which, from my perspective, felt quite late. Regardless of the timezone difference, it was indeed a tardy release compared to what I had anticipated.

Despite the delays, it’s truly exciting to finally catch a glimpse of the film we’ve been eagerly anticipating for ages. Moreover, the overwhelmingly positive responses to it are incredibly energizing, considering the hurdles this movie had to overcome during the past few years.
