Disney Unveils Must-Have Daredevil Mask for Ultimate ‘Born Again’ Fans!

Prior to the debut of “Daredevil: Born Again,” Disney has unveiled one of the most exciting merchandise items for the series. Typically, movies and shows, particularly those featuring superheroes, strive to make you feel like you’re the character on screen. However, Disney is going a step beyond for “Daredevil: Born Again.” Now, fans can don Daredevil’s costume (portrayed by Charlie Cox), embodying Daredevil’s persona while watching Daredevil – quite the immersive experience with multiple Daredevils!

According to Disney’s official online shop, they have made available a full-sized replica of the Daredevil mask inspired by Matt Murdock’s costume from the original series, which is featured in “Born Again.” This mask, priced at $79.99, stands on a base bearing the classic Daredevil emblem. However, it’s advisable not to wear this mask while watching “Daredevil: Born Again,” as one reviewer noted that the eyeholes are non-transparent, in keeping with the character of Daredevil.

In March 5, 2025, the series “Daredevil: Born Again” will debut on Disney+. Charlie Cox reprises his role as Matt Murdock, following his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” which was released in 2021. Murdock made brief appearances in last year’s shows “Echo” and “She-Hulk,” though the upcoming series “Born Again” will disregard the events of “She-Hulk.” Cox will be joined by several familiar faces from the original “Daredevil” series, including Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle / The Punisher), and Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk). D’Onofrio has previously reprised his role in the MCU.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Will be Even Darker Than the Original Series

The shows produced by Marvel during their Netflix tenure, including Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, The Punisher, The Defenders, Iron Fist, and potentially Daredevil: Born Again, provided a venue for exploring grittier storylines. Unlike the family-friendly tone of the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), all these Netflix shows were rated TV-MA, with The Punisher even exceeding some international age ratings. There was apprehension among fans that Daredevil: Born Again might soften the graphic violence and dark themes from the original series, particularly since some viewers had criticized the MCU’s treatment of Wilson Fisk. However, it seems like Born Again is going even further in pushing boundaries.

Charlie Cox noted that the popularity and appeal of this series lies in its unique blend of “grim and ominous tones,” which sets it apart from other superhero shows. He and Vincent D’Onofrio emphasized the importance of preserving these elements to maintain the show’s distinct identity, choosing to cater primarily to an older audience rather than diluting the content for a broader audience.
