Disneyland Is Teasing New Villains For The Oogie Boogie Bash And Now I'm Really Annoyed I Didn't Buy A Ticket

As a devoted Disney enthusiast with years of park-hopping under my belt, I can confidently say that the Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure is undeniably worth every penny, even if it feels like a small fortune. This year’s event promises to be particularly enticing, with the enigmatic Hades and Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz making their grand park debut!

1. The cost of Disneyland tickets may seem high, yet they’re relatively accessible, and most people believe the experience is valuable. Tickets for the Oogie Boogie Bash, an exclusive Halloween event at Disney California Adventure, are pricier still and harder to secure, but many concur that it’s worth every penny. After learning about this year’s offerings, I truly regret not getting a ticket before they were all sold out.

2024 Oogie Boogie Bash tickets have already been sold out, but attendees this year are in for a special surprise! One of the exclusive features at the event each year is the appearance of unique characters along the treat trails – characters that are rarely seen in the parks except during this event. Disneyland has shared a sneak peek on Instagram about two of these characters to be featured this year. Take a look at the video below and see if you can guess who they might be!

1. The Grecian urn appears strikingly similar to the one shown in Disney’s animated Hercules film, suggesting strongly that the first villain might be Hades, who has previously been featured in Disney Parks but doesn’t often appear. The second part of the video showcases a white lab coat and a mysterious fedora, items typically worn by secret agent platypus characters, hinting at the possibility that Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb could make his Disney Parks debut during Oogie Boogie Bash.

It’s no surprise that I’m not feeling regretful since it turned out Oogie Boogie Bash tickets were more accessible this year compared to last, yet I was still caught off guard and couldn’t secure a spot. In the past couple of years, I’ve grown quite fond of Disney Parks’ exclusive evening events. I had planned to bring my daughter along because one of the dates corresponded with her school break, sadly, that date happened to be one of the first to run out of tickets. Given her enthusiasm for Phineas & Ferb, I can only hope she never discovers what she almost experienced.

The characters are receiving fresh updates. Specifically, Phineas and Ferb from Disney California Adventure are getting two new seasons on Disney+, making Dr. Doofenshmirtz a valuable asset to boost that series. Additionally, Hercules is being considered for a live-action reinterpretation.

At the Oogie Boogie Bash, it’s the diverse array of characters on the Treat Trails that really draws the crowd. Over time, various villains have made an appearance, with at least a couple of fresh faces joining the roster each year. However, it remains to be seen if these are the only new additions for 2024, or which ones might replace some others. Last year, we saw Judge Doom from “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” and Yokai from “Big Hero 6” making their debuts.

Last year was my inaugural visit to Oogie Boogie Bash, and let me tell you, it’s an outstanding occasion! Witnessing the characters, along with attendees in creative costumes, is truly enjoyable. It’s no wonder this event ranks among the most sought-after after-hours parties of the year. I sincerely hope everyone who attends has a blast. As for me, I’ll simply remain here, feeling a bit blue.
