Disney’s Aulani Is A Bucket List Item For Many Families, But I Gotta Say It Looks Good On Ryan Seacrest, Too

Among the top-visited vacation destinations globally are Walt Disney World and Hawaii. Being a fervent admirer of both locales (having visited each on numerous occasions), there’s another captivating spot I haven’t experienced yet, but long to someday: Aulani. It’s Disney’s Resort nestled on the island of Ohahu. Its images always appear quite awe-inspiring, and I must confess Ryan Seacrest is enticing me to make a reservation immediately.

Last night’s episode of American Idol took place from Disney’s Aulani Resort, as will tonight’s, and host Ryan Seacrest posted several shots to Instagram ahead of the night of music, showing off himself having a blast at Disney’s destination. It’s not quite Disney World, but the Disney vibes certainly permeate the place as Seacrest shows off while sporting his island-themed ears and hanging out with “the boss,” Mickey Mouse.

Aulani, designed by Joe Rhode from Walt Disney Imagineering, debuted in 2011 and has since grown into a significant attraction among Disney Resorts. Just like people plan and save for an unforgettable trip to Disney World, many do the same for their dream vacation at Aulani.

Beyond its renowned theme park resorts, Disney also owns several other vacation spots across the U.S., including Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort and Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. Among these, Aulani, located in Hawaii, is particularly beloved by visitors due to its status as a popular holiday destination.

It’s undoubtedly possible to experience an island ambiance in various Disney destinations. The Polynesian Resort, which was among the very first two hotels built by Disney World, remains one of its top choices. However, there’s simply no substitute for visiting the actual islands that inspired this resort.

At the latest Disney Shareholders’ Gathering, someone asked Bob Iger if we might expect more resorts like Aulani in the future. There are numerous holiday spots globally where Disney isn’t present at the moment, but an extensive resort without the hefty price tag of a theme park could potentially be established there. Nevertheless, Iger mentioned that there are no immediate plans to replicate the Aulani concept, implying it remains a one-of-a-kind vacation spot.

At Aulani resort in Hawaii, while it shares similarities with other Hawaiian resorts, it also offers character encounters reminiscent of Disneyland or Walt Disney World. If you’re an avid Disney fan and are considering a vacation in Hawaii, there’s not much need to look elsewhere.

Disney, always eager to leverage its diverse business portfolio, seamlessly integrates its various ventures into its popular TV shows. While some viewers might not be as familiar with Aulani as they are with Disney’s theme parks, the stunning backdrop showcased during Ryan Seacrest’s segments could certainly pique interest for a future visit to this idyllic location, potentially making it a contender for their next island vacation.
