After a long wait, you can now watch “Jurassic World Rebirth” on the big screen across the country (get your tickets here).
Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion (streaming now on Peacock), the latest installment in this high-grossing series, we find that the escaped dinosaurs are struggling globally due to their ancient physiologies being unable to adapt to our contemporary climate. Those that haven’t gone extinct – once more – reside in tropical regions close to the equator, including the original InGen R&D facility where they combined various species to maintain public fascination with resurrected dinosaurs as interest began to dwindle.
Years ago, a devastating security incident led to the permanent shutdown of the facility. However, monstrous creatures that had been created there were left uncared for. Now, decades later, these gigantic beasts inhabiting seas, lands, and skies might provide crucial insights for a medical advancement. This potential discovery catches the attention of a billion-dollar pharmaceutical corporation, prompting them to undertake a daring expedition to the treacherous island. In charge of this perilous mission is Zora Bennett, a former soldier turned mercenary, who you might recognize as the Black Widow character played by Scarlett Johansson.
Without a doubt, problems arise swiftly as life somehow manages to feast on unsuspecting humans…yes, that’s typical. After all, it’s standard procedure for characters to end up as dinner for colossal lizards in this franchise. However, what truly piques curiosity is whether Jurassic World Rebirth introduces the very first post-credits scene across the entire series?

In his conversation with Collider, Edwards expressed a desire for the series of films to continue and shared some personal interests he’d like to explore. As a filmmaker, he feels fortunate to have had the opportunity to work on this movie, and he’s content with where things stand. He has not yet engaged in discussions about another film, and neither has producer Frank Marshall, screenwriter David Koepp, or the studio. If that’s okay, he plans to maintain this stance for now, letting public reaction determine future possibilities.
