As a connoisseur of art and champagne, I must say that this collaboration between Dom Pérignon and Jean-Michel Basquiat is nothing short of breathtaking! Having had the privilege to visit the Champagne region myself and marvel at the intricate process behind each bottle, it’s truly captivating to see such iconic artistry adorning these containers.
As a connoisseur, I hail from the Champagne region of France, where the esteemed Dom Pérignon is born. This brand epitomizes luxury in my eyes, consistently seeking dynamic collaborations that push boundaries. In the past, they’ve partnered with visionaries like Lady Gaga and Jeff Koons for unique, limited-edition bottle designs.
In a tribute to Jean-Michel Basquiat’s indomitable artistic legacy, Dom Pérignon unveils a series of three creative vessels for the commencement of autumn. The gift boxes and bottles from the 2015 Vintage have been revitalized with abstract art, featuring Basquiat’s iconic 1983 neo-expressionist painting, titled IN ITALIAN.
The distinctive label of Dom Pérignon is saturated with soft, pastel colors that echo various Italian phrases, creating a protective, artistic design on each bottle.
A set of three bottles is being offered in beautiful gift boxes (each containing 75cl) that, when combined, create a complete art piece. This unique collection will debut at Selfridges with a price tag of £220 GBP.
