Our first glimpse of The Dark Ages was graciously shared during June’s Xbox Showcase, and the Shield Saw undeniably stood out as a highlight. It’s evident that the developers are eager for players to explore the innovative ways they can utilize this latest addition.

Apart from hurling the Shield Saw at our adversaries, similar to Captain America, QuakeCon reveals that you’ll also have the ability to pull it back as it rips through monsters and you can navigate the map with it. Although the specifics are yet to be clarified, we envision a method akin to shield surfing, much like in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

1. For melee weapon options, you have three choices: a flail, a mace, and an electrically charged fist that links enemies together. The game DOOM: The Dark Ages stands out by offering a more expansive open-world experience compared to its predecessors, appealing to those who enjoy venturing off the main path.
