As a seasoned Dreamlight Valley adventurer with countless hours spent traversing its magical landscapes, I must say that embarking on Pumbaa’s Down to Earth quest has been nothing short of enchanting! From gathering resources for Meteor Shower Pamphlets to searching the valley for those elusive meteorite fragments, this friendship quest has taken me on a cosmic journey like no other.
One of Pumbaa’s Friendship Missions in Disney Dreamlight Valley is called “Down to Earth.” As part of WALL-E’s Astronomy Club, Pumbaa has recently taken an interest in the stars, particularly those that fall from the sky. He needs your help to get ready for a stunning meteor shower that will captivate everyone in Dreamlight Valley.
To help with this mission, you’ll assemble resources, create essential items, and gather meteorite fragments to stage an amazing spectacle for the villagers. If your goal is completing the “Down to Earth” quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, this guide will detail each step you need to follow.
Down to Earth Quest Guide
The “Down to Earth Quest” is a mission assigned to you by Pumbaa, focusing on strengthening friendship and offering numerous entertaining and explorative tasks. Your main objective is to arrange a meteor shower event that Pumbaa desires. This entails creating promotional materials (pamphlets), gathering remnants of fallen meteors, and orchestrating a meteorite exhibition for the townsfolk.
On your journey, you’ll encounter other members of WALL-E’s Astronomy Club too. Assist them in locating the meteorites that have fallen from space. Since this is a friendship mission, not only will it strengthen your bond with Pumbaa but it will also grant you Glass furniture items to add to your collection.
How to Trigger This Quest
To initiate the “Down to Earth” quest, ensure your friendship level with Pumbaa is at least level 7. Furthermore, you’ll need to unlock certain characters within Dreamlight Valley as well.
- Buzz Lightyear
- WALL-E
- Prince Eric
- Tiana
Once these requirements are met, Pumbaa will come over all eager to share about a stunning purple star he and Timon spotted. He thinks it might signal an unusual meteor shower. Excited by this sign, Pumbaa seeks your aid in preparing for the event. This sets off the adventure of building our friendship.
Gather Materials for Meteor Shower Pamphlets
Pumbaa’s first objective is to create Meteor Shower Pamphlets to inform the villagers about the event. He will need your help to gather the required materials to craft them. To craft pamphlets, you will need the following items:
- Pink Houseleek (5): Found in the Sunlit Plateau
- Red Bromeliad (8): Also located in the Sunlit Plateau
- Dry Wood (10): Can be gathered from the ground near trees in the Frosted Heights, Sunlit Plateau, or Forgotten Lands
After gathering all necessary items, make your way to any Crafting Station within the Valley. Here, I’ll be crafting four Meteor Shower Pamphlets. Once they’re ready, it’s time for me to take them along and complete my task.
Deliver Pamphlets to Astronomy Club Members
Once you’ve finished creating the Meteor Shower Brochures, it’s now time to distribute them to the members of WALL-E’s Stargazing Group. Here are the individuals you should approach:
- Buzz Lightyear
- Prince Eric
- Tiana
- WALL-E
After distributing everything, head back to Pumbaa to inform him that the Astronomy Club is now prepared for the upcoming meteor shower.
Place Merlin’s Spare Telescope
For a spectacular view of the meteor shower, Pumbaa offers you Merlin’s backup telescope, which you are free to set up anywhere within Dreamlight Valley. While the game advises waiting until nighttime (from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.) for the best experience, it’s not mandatory; you can appreciate the spectacle at any time of day.
Feel free to use the telescope whenever you’re ready for your journey. After positioning it, simply engage with the telescope and a Memory will emerge, disclosing the positions of some meteor showers within the Valley.
Search for Meteorite Fragments
Following my encounter with The Memory, I’ll be on the hunt for three elusive Meteorite Fragments hidden across Dreamlight Valley. Each Memory I unlock seems to guide me to a distinct spot in this enchanting valley.
- Skull Rock: The first fragment is found outside the Skull Rock.
- Forest of Valor: The second fragment is located near the river, closest to the Plaza side of the Forest of Valor.
- Sunlit Plateau: The final fragment is found near Scar’s Cave in the Sunlit Plateau.
Once you’ve gathered all three pieces of the meteorite, head back to Pumbaa who will show his enthusiasm and propose we exhibit the meteorite for everyone in the valley to see.
Craft the Meteorite Display
First, let’s fix that meteorite before we can display it properly. Make your way to a Workbench and follow these steps: Create a Glass Case for the Meteorite. To accomplish this task, you’ll require the following items:
- Meteorite Fragments (3): Collected during the previous step.
- Gold Ingots (3): To craft each Gold Ingot, you will need 5 Gold Nuggets (mined in Sunlit Plateau, Vitalys Mines, Frosted Heights, and Forgotten Lands) and 1 Coal Ore.
- Glass (12): You can craft it from 5 Sand and 1 Coal Ore.
Once the Meteorite in Glass is crafted, you are ready for the display.
Decorate the Showcase
To honor the meteorite’s visit, you’re tasked with setting up a presentation space. Pumbaa requests that you arrange the meteorite for viewing and embellish the surrounding area. Here’s what you’ll need to collect:
- The Meteorite in Glass
- 1 Rug: Any rug from your inventory will work
- 6 Pieces of Seating: Select six different chairs or seating options to complete the display
