As a seasoned gamer with countless hours under my belt, I can confidently say that the Venatori Ritual Site in Dragon Age: Inquisition is one of the most challenging locations I’ve ever encountered – a true testament to Bioware’s knack for creating immersive and engaging gameplay.
While exploring Dragon Age: The Veilguard, one of the eeriest places you’ll encounter is known as the Venatori Ritual Grounds.
Hidden behind mystical defenses, the Venatori Ritual Site can be elusive for many adventurers. Here’s a guide on finding the site and understanding its interior.
How To Find and What To Do at the Venatori Ritual Site
To locate and disrupt the Venatori Ritual Site, you’ll have to take down the red crystals that power the magical barriers.
Depending on where you start, your quest could begin at Wharf Crossing North for Last Rites or Dock Town, Minrathous, for Rituals For The Risen.
Regardless of your choice, you must find a Venatori ritual location and eliminate the red crystals to break down the protective barriers.
First, follow the red light beams projected from these crystals, often protected by red shields.
You need to find the undefended crystal and proceed from there. Make sure you destroy the crystals following a specific order.
Look for the red beams linking the shielded crystals to their origin.
Your first target should be the unshielded crystal, often floating above or in an open space.
Break this crystal to temporarily disable the shield on the following one, keep doing so until all shields have been deactivated.
In the story “Last Rites,” there’s a concealed crystal hidden among the substantial columns in the vicinity of Wharf Crossing North. Keep your eyes skyward to discover a levitating crystal, free from any protective shield.
Crack the suspended crystal, and once it’s shattered, the protective barrier surrounding it, held up by the pillars, vanishes. Subsequently, make your way back down to handle the following challenge.
Continue making progress until the blockade at the primary entrance disappears. Prior to entering, take a look at any hints or messages posted near the entrance.
As you advance, be prepared to encounter groups of Venatori cultists. You might also face more formidable opponents such as the Blood Forge, who are notably challenging because of their distinctive yellow health bar.
This foe isn’t greatly affected by fire, but it takes significant damage from cold-based attacks. Utilize area-of-effect (AoE) skills to your advantage, particularly when you can group up the Venatori for optimal harm.
Keep a sharp eye out and tactfully employ your team’s abilities to cleanse the region. To start the “Rituals For The Risen” mission, initially follow your quest indicator to a wooden platform, from which you can eliminate the initial crystal.
Head to a nearby temple and spot the remaining crystals through the windows.
Instead, consider employing area-targeted assaults to obliterate them, ensuring that every crystal is pulverized, thus weakening the protective barrier at the entrance of the ritual site.
Once the way is clear, go through the door and explore to finish what you need to do.
In certain missions, like Last Rites, you will also need to save trapped civilians.
These people could be trapped inside red force fields powered by more shielded crystals.
Check for hanging crystals and interact with them to expose weak points.
Initially, break the initial crystal, followed by the ones situated close-by, particularly those found on or in proximity to a ship.
Performing this action will liberate the civilians and modify your mission goals. Additionally, keep an eye out for additional crystal links, particularly within buildings or secret locations near the dock.
Once I’ve shattered all those glowing crystals, the path ahead should become accessible. I’ll venture into the now-open sector, scouring around for hints or remnants, whatever my gaming mission requires.
Completing these tasks yields rewards like 500 XP and boosts in faction strength.
You’ll grow closer to your party as you go, which can be helpful down the line.
