While not every character possesses the ability to transform, it’s crucial to focus on those who do. Conveniently, you can easily determine if a character has this power by examining their selection screen prior to battle. If you notice a small circle around their face, that character can indeed transform.
To trigger a transformation, you need to initially gather a Skill Points tally, which grows as you either inflict or sustain damage in combat. This tally is displayed on your screen and gradually accumulates the required points for transformations.
As a gamer, I notice that the amount of points needed for a transformation can fluctuate based on the intensity of the change. For instance, transitioning from Goten’s basic form to Super Saiyan might only require a single point, while transforming into Super Saiyan 4 Goku necessitates more points due to its powerful nature.
When your Skill Counter has accumulated sufficient points, a symbol will emerge close to your character’s profile picture. To initiate the transformation, simply click on this emblem.
- PC – Press Z on your keyboard to open the transformation menu. Then, select the desired transformation using the number keys or other assigned buttons.
- Xbox – Press Up on the D-pad to bring up the Transformation Menu. Once it’s open, press X, Y, A, or B to choose your desired transformation.
- PS5 – Press Up on the D-pad to open the menu. After that, press X, Triangle, Circle, or Square to switch to your chosen transformation.
In simpler terms, it’s not necessary to adhere to a specific order when it comes to character transformations. If your character possesses multiple forms, like Goku, you can transition from the base form directly to higher stages (such as Super Saiyan 3), provided that you have sufficient points available for the transformation.
Sometimes altering a character’s form can modify their repertoire of actions too, so it’s fun and strategic to try out various forms to discover which skills suit your unique approach to playing the most effectively.
How To Fuse in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero

As suggested by its title, Fusion combines the best aspects of two characters, resulting in unique moves and abilities not obtainable separately.
