As a long-time fan of Drake and having followed his music career closely, I can’t help but feel a sense of relief after hearing Gordo’s recent interview with People magazine. The public feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar had left many fans, including myself, wondering about the well-being of the Canadian rapper.
In spite of pictures of Drake looking sad emerging following his feud with Kendrick Lamar, one of his music producers disclosed that he’s “extremely happy.”
In a chat with People magazine, the Grammy-nominated DJ-producer Gordo shared insights on Drake’s condition after the high-profile rap dispute between Drake and Lamar became a topic of public interest.
I’ve noticed that Drake seems to have taken a break lately, after completing what felt like an endless tour – the It’s All A Blur Tour, which lasted for over a year. So, it’s understandable if he’s just taking some time off to unwind and relax.
As a gamer, I’d say: Drake and I had our differences when he took a dig at me on “Like What” by Metro Boomin and Future. This sparked my competitive spirit, leading me to respond with “Push Ups.” We kept trading jabs and accusations until Kendrick Lamar dropped “Not Like Us,” which left the crowd cheering for him. Technically, I had one more track out, “The Heart Part 6,” but in the grand scheme of things, people believed that Kendrick’s last song was the superior one, giving him the victory in our rap battle.
Recently, there have been assumptions made by fans that Drake was down following some perceived losses. However, according to Gordo, these assumptions are not accurate as Drake has actually appeared cheerful and upbeat in recent times.
“Since then, I’ve noticed him being much more content.” He shared this. It’s quite puzzling. His demeanor is quite upbeat these days. The internet might give you the impression that he’s been down in the dumps based on a single photo with poor quality. However, that snapshot doesn’t reflect his true mood. In reality, he’s been in high spirits and enjoying himself.
