- Dredge has been delayed until February of 2025

- Dredge takes you on a Lovecraftian-inspired fishing adventure
Well now, partner, if you’ve been hankering after a good ole’ fashioned Lovecraftian-inspired fishing adventure and found yourself eagerly awaiting the mobile port of Dredge, I reckon I’d best break it to ya – it’s been delayed until February 2025! But fret not, for Black Salt Games has thrown us a bone: they’ve announced sign-ups are now open for a new closed beta to accompany this delay.
If you were looking forward to fishing in the eerie waters of Greater Marrow, a Lovecraftian-themed horror game by Black Salt Games, there’s some unfortunate news. The mobile version of Dredge, which many were eagerly waiting for, has been pushed back to February 2025. However, on a positive note, Black Salt has started accepting sign-ups for a new closed beta test that coincides with this delay.
For newcomers, Dredge has you assuming the character of a fisherman in the town of Greater Marrow. Initially, your tasks are simple, involving catching and selling fresh fish to the locals. However, things quickly become unusual as you encounter odd sea creatures from deep beneath the waves, enigmatic beings, and various other frightening phenomena. Additionally, there’s the ominous danger of losing your sanity and unexplained events occurring on a distant, mysterious island.
You can enroll in the recently postponed exclusive mobile beta test of Dredge by filling out this Google form. Given the multitude of awards, positive reviews, and anticipation surrounding Dredge, I strongly recommend that you consider giving it a try once it’s released, especially if you haven’t played it before.
Fishin’ ain’t easy
Based on my personal experience of playing Dredge on PC, such delays are not surprising given the game’s vast world being adapted for mobile. Considering the scope of the main release, there will undoubtedly be a wealth of content to uncover. I believe that conducting another closed beta is a wise move, as it allows more players to offer feedback and enjoy this compelling blend of horror and fishing.
