As a gamer with a deep appreciation for Hollywood icons, I can’t help but feel a sense of admiration for Drew Barrymore. Her energy, enthusiasm, and unapologetic nature are truly inspiring. Having spent countless hours in the virtual world, I can relate to her need for human interaction. After all, who doesn’t get lonely when holed up in a digital fortress?
Drew Barrymore aims to provide her talk show guests with more privacy as the new season approaches.
The actress recently chatted with Entertainment Tonight following the news that The Drew Barrymore Show was renewed for a sixth season before its September 9 comeback. During this conversation, she disclosed the reason behind her tendency to get quite intimate physically when engaging with her show’s guests.
“Admitting that maintaining physical distance isn’t easy for me, given my love for company, I’ve found the COVID-19 pandemic particularly challenging. It wasn’t just being isolated, but spending all that time in a studio alone really took its toll.”
Although the actress from Charlie’s Angels admitted that this aspect isn’t beloved by everyone during her interviews, she expressed regret towards those affected and clarified that her intention is consistently to provide amusement and cheerfulness for both her interview partners and audience members.
As a gamer, I’ve always aimed to create an experience filled with laughter, happiness, and positive vibes. That’s been my goal from the start. However, I never imagined we’d debut during a pandemic! Embracing joy and humor amidst such peculiar circumstances was certainly strange and a bit zany.
I’m thrilled to share that we’ve extended our gaming journey! As a gamer, I can’t wait to dive back into the action, as our show will continue through the 2025-26 season, according to Wendy McMahon, head honcho at CBS News and Stations and CBS Media Ventures. She made this announcement just a few days ago!
“Drew is an extraordinary performer who plays a vital role within the CBS and Paramount family,” McMahon stated. “The early renewal and enhancements demonstrate our dedication to The Drew Barrymore Show and its dedicated viewership, who look forward to witnessing Drew’s kindness, curiosity, and liveliness each day.”
