‘Duck Dynasty’ Star Phil Robertson Dies at 79

Phil Robertson, one of the stars of Duck Dynasty, has died.

On Sunday, Korie Robertson, wife of Phil’s son Willie, shared the update on her Facebook page.

Today, we rejoice as Phil Robertson, our dear father, spouse, and grandfather, has joined the Lord. In her message, she mentioned his frequent reminders of Paul’s words: ‘We don’t mourn like people without hope because we believe that Jesus died and rose again. This gives us confidence that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.’

We’re deeply appreciative for the outpouring of affection and prayers from countless individuals whose lives were influenced by his extraordinary journey marked by grace, courageous faith, and a fervor to spread the Gospel of Jesus. His time on earth is cherished, and we will honor his legacy of divine love and compassion towards others until we meet him again.

As one who’s deeply touched by him, I want to express that countless of us hold a special place in our hearts for this remarkable individual. Currently, we’re holding a private ceremony to honor his life. Rest assured, details about a grand public tribute will be shared with you all shortly.

The post was signed “The Robertson Family.”

The specific reasons behind his demise remain undisclosed, however, it’s known that he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and was battling a blood disorder as well.

The series titled “Duck Dynasty” saw massive success upon its debut on A&E in 2012. This reality TV show ran until 2017 and centered around the Robertson family residing in Louisiana. Phil, the family patriarch, established Duck Commander, a business specializing in duck calls and various other items.

Korie and Willie will make an appearance on a brand-new reality show titled “Duck Dynasty: The Comeback“, set to premiere in June.
