As a father of two little girls myself, I must admit that watching Dwayne Johnson‘s Instagram video of his daughters recording for Moana 2 brought a smile to my face. It’s heartwarming to see families sharing such special moments together, especially when it involves something as magical as Disney’s Moana.
In just a week, “Moana 2” will be released, and you’ll notice that Moana’s immediate family has expanded, as she now has a sister. Interestingly, the production of this movie was also a family endeavor for Maui, with Dwayne Johnson featuring his two daughters in brief appearances within the film.
Dwayne Johnson dropped a clip to Instagram which shows two of his kids Jazzy and Tia recording some dialogue for Moana 2. It appears that the girls are part of a group known as the Moana-Be’s, a little fan club of kids who adore Moana. Watch the kids record their lines and watch the proud dad enjoy the show too.

It appears that Dwayne Johnson’s family had an enjoyable day at the recording studio. They seem to have a large fishhook of Maui, possibly even the one they are using for the ongoing production of the live-action film Moana. In the shared clips, the children can be seen giving Maui some backtalk, which likely brought them joy.
As a dad of young girls, I’m finding a great deal of joy in this video. Watching the kids have such fun, and seeing Dwayne Johnson watch them is a true pleasure. It’s so great they were all able to share this experience together and become part of the Moana family.
I’m genuinely thrilled about the upcoming Disney movie, Moana 2. Initially, I was eager for a new series of Moana on Disney+, but the project turned out to be so promising that it evolved into a sequel film instead. From what’s been shared so far, Moana 2 seems quite promising. The original Moana has consistently been one of the most-watched movies across all platforms for years, demonstrating its enduring popularity. Given this track record, the sequel has some big shoes to fill, but it looks like it could meet and even surpass expectations.
Initially, the original “Moana” was a successful movie at the box office, but it didn’t reach the level of “Frozen” or its sequel, with the latter being the highest-grossing animated film until recently when “Inside Out 2” was released. However, there appears to be a lot of excitement for “Moana 2,” so it will be intriguing to observe how many people go to see it during the Thanksgiving holiday and throughout the rest of the holiday season.
It’s fervently wished that this encounter might aid Johnson with his youngest child, who, to our knowledge, remains unconvinced that he is Maui despite all his attempts at persuasion. Most of his family is now featured in Moana 2, leaving one to wonder if she’ll ever come to believe it.
