Moreover, since Dwayne Johnson is set to play Maui in the live-action version, it’s possible he might have brought the hook to the recording studio for a fun family session.
The prop mirrors its animated counterpart flawlessly, suggesting an intricate replication of the original film’s design. Disney, renowned for creating live-action adaptations of their cherished animations such as “101 Dalmatians” and “The Lion King”, often revive these classics after several decades. It’s unusual for a live-action remake of Moana 2 to be underway so swiftly, given that the original movie hasn’t been released in theaters yet. Nevertheless, with some of the original voice actors reprising their roles in real life, the live-action Moana promises to be a unique addition to the franchise, unlike anything Disney has produced thus far.
