If you wish to engage in magical combat with your characters in Elden Ring Nightreign, it’s crucial to learn the art of using Incantations and Sorceries.
In Elden Ring: Nightreign, you’ll find a variety of pre-set characters, each mastering specific weaponry and abilities. Characters such as Recluse and Revenant are particularly proficient in magic, but this doesn’t mean that other characters can’t use it too. With the appropriate gear, any character is capable of launching magical attacks.
In Elden Ring: Nightreign, there are two main categories of magical attacks: Incantations and Sorceries. Incantations primarily serve to bolster your character with beneficial effects such as buffs and healing, whereas Sorceries are offensive spells that cause damage. To utilize either type of magic, you’ll need to ensure that the appropriate catalyst is equipped for casting the spell. Let’s delve into how to wield Incantations and Sorceries in Elden Ring: Nightreign.
How To Use Incantations in Elden Ring Nightreign
To perform Incantations, you’ll require a Holy Emblem, which serves as your casting tool. These Emblems already have two predefined spells. Since there are no character stats prerequisites, any character can use a Holy Emblem to cast spells by executing light and heavy attacks. You can obtain the Holy Emblem in the same ways you get other weapons – from defeated enemies or hidden chests. They can also be bought from merchants. Furthermore, you might find them near statues within ruined homes.
Just be aware that using magical spells depletes a considerable amount of FP, with stronger Incantations requiring more. Characters such as Recluse, Revenant, and Duchess are proficient in utilizing both Incantations and Sorceries.
How To Use Sorceries in Elden Ring Nightreign
Using Sorceries is essentially identical to Incantations, with the main difference being the tool required – instead of a Sacred Seal, you need a Glintstone Staff. Unlike seals, these staffs are already loaded with two spells and can be obtained by defeating bosses or opening chests. Characters like Recluse, Revenant, and Duchess are particularly proficient in magic spells and boost the chance of finding catalysts. Additionally, you can find Glintstone Staffs in staff holders, making them a dependable choice.
To find where the catalyst’s weapon rack is located, simply follow the symbols of the Staff or Seal on your map. Just like with Incantations, casting Sorceries uses up FP (Focus Points). To really amp things up, you can cast four different spells at once by carrying two Staffs or Seals in each hand – this will create a massive amount of chaos!
