Elden Ring Nightreign players worship a new god: a Relic buff that gives a gigantic damage boost just for killing some pretty easy mini-bosses

The latest Everdark boss fight in Elden Ring Nightreign, known as Nightreign’s Reign of Darkness II, has been found to be easier than the previous boss, Everdark Adel, by many players. This could be due to a new strategy that has become popular within the gaming community, similar to how the battle royale ring sweeps across the map in Nightreign. The key to this strategy is a small buff from a Relic, which is proving to make a significant difference in gameplay.

The trait in question, referred to as “The Relic,” works like this: every time you defeat an evergaol prisoner, your attack power permanently increases. This beneficial effect has been gaining popularity for about a week now. You can purchase a static Relic, specifically a Grand Luminous Scene of the yellow type, with this feature from a new merchant who became accessible following the defeat of the Everdark boss. It didn’t take long for people to realize how potent this item truly is.

As a dedicated fan, I’ve come to appreciate FromSoftware’s unique approach to game design. It seems that this relic grants a 5% damage boost every time I conquer a gaol boss, though the difficulty of these bosses varies. Some are quite simple, even amusing, while others pose a challenge, but they pale in comparison to the formidable Nightlords.

In this game, there’s no time limit for the buff; clearing each boss or encounter gives you a damage boost that lasts indefinitely and remains active all the time. It seems that the buff doesn’t have a maximum level either. Moreover, the buff appears to improve multiplicatively as more goals are cleared, with players reporting a boost of over 30% after clearing six goals.

During a single playthrough of Nightreign, you’re restricted in the number of jail bosses you can defeat. This limitation isn’t just about time but also the availability of jail keys. However, managing to clear at least four isn’t particularly challenging. Moreover, these jails offer substantial amounts of Runes, making them beneficial even if it’s only for that reason.

This item doesn’t allow stacking of its effect to multiply the power-up, but you can amplify it indirectly so as to skyrocket your damage output.

For instance, an additional Relic ability provides a Stonesword Key at the beginning of each game, ensuring a straightforward Gaol conquest. Each team member could carry a Stonesword Key into the game, resulting in up to three Gaols being accessible without searching for keys – the majority of which are usually discovered from treasure chests located within cathedrals or atop fortresses.

This artifact functions exceptionally when combined with other effects or character enhancements, as it adds permanently and accumulatively to your damage output. The more powerful you become, the greater its impact becomes as well.

The strength of this weapon is undeniably noticeable, to the point that I believe FromSoftware intentionally distributed it to offset the increased challenge from the Everdark fights. It seems they may have learned from the initial game’s difficulty criticisms and wanted to provide a counterbalance. Compared to other damage boosts, this one stands out as stronger or more versatile, making it a popular choice among experienced players.

As a gamer, if you’re like me and haven’t got your hands on that relic yet or missed out on the previous Everdark boss, fear not! You can easily unlock it by conquering the latest Everdark boss. Now, this one might be easier than last week’s version since there are plenty of players running around with heaps of damage at their disposal. Good luck and happy gaming!
