Elden Ring Nightreign: Where To Get Bows

Instead of choosing bows as his weapon, the Ironeye Nightfarer prefers them in Elden Ring’s Nightreign. Discover where you can locate them throughout Limveil.

In Elden Ring: Nightreign, opting for Ironeye as your character turns you into a ranged combat specialist, consistently contributing DPS (Damage Per Second) to the team. Yet, it’s essential to upgrade from your initial bow if you aim to withstand the impending bosses during gameplay, including the Nightlord. Luckily, there are multiple dependable strategies for obtaining more powerful bows when playing as Ironeye, but each method differs in effectiveness and rewards.

How To Get Bows in Elden Ring Nightreign

Finding Bows in Chests

One easy method to acquire a new bow is by searching chests scattered across Points of Interest (POI). You can identify these spots as soon as you touch down in Limveil. Simply check your map to find the closest marked icons. These locations may be churches, ruins, forts, prisons, and other sites.

As victor over the foes defending a Point of Interest, I’m now free to delve into the unexplored nooks and crannies of the area. It may not be uncommon to stumble upon a chest here, but these mysterious treasure boxes occasionally yield rare or even legendary bows – prized possessions that could tip the scales in my favor!

As you journey through or discover fresh territories, it’s wise to take a moment to inspect chests even though they often depend more on chance and may not consistently contain what you seek. When embarking on an adventure, it’s beneficial to first explore points of interest near the map edges since these areas will become inaccessible later due to the Night’s Tide.

Defeating Field Bosses

Scattered throughout the map are field leaders, some of whom are marked with dragon or skull symbols. Defeating one of them will trigger an on-screen message such as “Enemy Defeated” or “Mighty Enemy Defeated”. The first term denotes smaller bosses known as minibosses, while the latter signals stronger bosses that offer rarer loot like legendary weapons.

When you defeat a boss, they may drop various loot at random, often including multiple weapons. As Ironeye, defeating bosses boosts the likelihood of getting a powerful bow that suits your Nightfarer class. Prior to engaging Field Bosses, raise your character’s level, assess their challenge level, and monitor the Night’s Tide for optimal results.

Scouring Weapon Racks

In addition to other locations, weapon racks may also be where you could discover bows. These racks are typically found in fortified regions such as castles or military bases, and they’re often seen near tents or along the walls. They can hold a range of weapons like axes or swords, but if you come across one filled with bows, that’s where your focus should be.

Typically, bows you find hanging up aren’t particularly rare. Some might not even compare favorably to what you’re currently using. Therefore, consider using these as a way to fill in early game shortcomings, rather than anticipating high-end equipment.
