Elizabeth Hurley to Play Dead Glamorous Benefactor in Channel 4 Reality Show ‘The Deceased’

Actress and model Elizabeth Hurley is set to portray a “cherished deceased” and “exquisitely glamorous donor” in the upcoming Channel 4 reality show, titled “The Deceased“, as revealed by the U.K. broadcaster on Wednesday.

14 individuals are invited to an elegant manor. They’ve been brought together for a chance to claim part of the wealth bequeathed in the will of the Deceased, as described in a TV show synopsis. However, acquiring the money won’t come without challenge. The Deceased had a mischievous disposition and has devised a tricky game to ensure only the most skilled contestants can lay claim to her estate’s riches.

In this case, the executor and trusted legal advisor for the deceased, who happens to be a lawyer and well-known television personality in Britain, named Robert Rinder, oversees the terms set forth.

Channel 4 stated, “The fortunate thirteen must join forces to fulfill The Deceased’s last wishes, a challenging set of tasks that will necessitate intelligence, teamwork, and guile. Notably, only one participant can pocket the earnings from each task.

Hurley finds it exhilarating to participate in this witty game, specifically as The Deceased. The entire story unfolds on a vast estate located in the picturesque English countryside, and she’s always impeccably dressed for every scene.

Rinder stated: “This is a strategy game with high stakes, featuring plotting and underhanded tactics. As The Executor, it’s my job to oversee the rules, manage the chaos – mostly – and ensure our players truly earn every last shiny coin left behind by our late, legendary actress portrayed by Elizabeth Hurley.

The television show titled The Inheritance is set to broadcast on Channel 4 this autumn.”

“This series consists of twelve episodes and is jointly produced by Studio Lambert, a division of All3Media, which is owned by Jeff Zucker and Gerry Cardinale’s RedBird IMI, as well as GroupM Motion Entertainment. The project was approved for Channel 4 by Steve Handley, the head of reality & entertainment, with Tom Beck, the head of live events and a commissioning editor in the same department, and Genna Gibson, another commissioning editor in the reality & entertainment division.

As a devoted fan, I’d like to share some behind-the-scenes insights about the creative minds responsible for my favorite productions. Tim Harcourt, Darrell Olsen, Kim Murphy, Joe Wildman, Martin Oxley, Shona Kemp, Ellie Rowe, and Karen Bonnici are the brilliant executive producers who orchestrate Studio Lambert’s captivating shows. Additionally, Martin Oxley from GroupM Motion Entertainment also plays a significant role. On the other hand, All3Media International takes care of format and tape sales worldwide, ensuring that these amazing productions reach fans like me all around the globe.
