Actress and model Elizabeth Hurley has been cast as “The Deceased,” a cherished, extravagantly glamorous benefactor in the forthcoming Channel 4 reality show titled The Inheritance. This role was announced by the U.K. broadcaster on Wednesday.
Thirteen individuals receive an invitation to a magnificent estate. Their goal is to claim a portion of the fortune that was bequeathed by the recently departed, as mentioned in the show description. However, obtaining the money won’t come easily. The Deceased had a mischievous personality, and they have devised a tricky game so that only those with exceptional skills can claim their share of the inheritance.
In this case, the executor and trusted legal advisor for the deceased, represented by lawyer and British television personality Robert Rinder, is responsible for overseeing the terms.
Or simply:
The executor and trusted legal counsel, played by lawyer and TV personality Robert Rinder, manages the deceased’s stipulations.
Channel 4 stated that the fortunate thirteen need to work together to accomplish the late’s last wishes, a set of incredibly challenging tasks requiring intelligence, cooperation, and resourcefulness. Interestingly, just one participant can secure the earnings from each task completion.
Hurley found it exciting to participate in this intelligent game, starring as The Deceased. The entire story unfolds on a vast country estate in England, where she is always impeccably dressed for every scene.
Rinder noted: “This is a strategy game with high stakes, accompanied by intrigue and underhanded tactics. In my role as The Executor, I ensure fair play, manage the chaos to some degree, and guarantee that our players truly earn every penny left behind by our late and famed deceased character, portrayed by none other than Elizabeth Hurley.
Channel 4 is set to broadcast ‘The Inheritance’ this autumn. This 12-episode series is a joint production between Studio Lambert, a division of All3Media, which is owned by Jeff Zucker and Gerry Cardinale’s RedBird IMI, and GroupM Motion Entertainment.
