Elle Fanning is set to join the fray in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.

It’s been announced exclusively by The Hollywood Reporter that the actress who was nominated for an Emmy has been chosen to play Effie Trinket in the upcoming Lionsgate movie, set to release in theaters on November 20, 2026. This film is a movie adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ popular novel, directed by Francis Lawrence.

In a prior announcement, Zada, Whitney Peak, Mckenna Grace, Jesse Plemons, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Maya Hawke, Lili Taylor, and Ben Wang were revealed as cast members. THR’s latest exclusive report adds that Ralph Fiennes will take on the role of the sinister President Snow, while Molly McCann and Iona Bell have been cast as beloved characters Louella and Lou Lou from the books.
