As a huge fan of television and the performing arts, I can’t help but feel elated and inspired by the 2024 Emmys nominations! The stories of Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, and others who received multiple nominations this year, are a testament to their incredible talent and versatility.
Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, and Maya Rudolph had much to rejoice about during the 2024 Emmys nominations on Wednesday. These talented actors, who previously worked together in the 2011 film “Bridesmaids,” received acting nods for their outstanding performances in multiple projects this year.
I’m thrilled to pieces that Billy Bob Thornton received not one, but two acting nominations at this year’s awards! He was recognized for his role in FX’s “Fargo” in the best actor category for a limited or anthology series. On top of that, he was also nominated for best supporting actor in a drama series over on Apple TV+’s “The Morning Show.” What a fantastic recognition for his talent and hard work!
Wiig received a nomination for the Best Actress in a Comedy Series category at the awards for her role in Apple TV+’s “Palm Royale.” Additionally, she was nominated in the Best Guest Actress for a Comedy Series category due to her hosting stint on “Saturday Night Live.”
At the upcoming awards show, Rudolph, who once shared the spotlight with Wiig on Saturday Night Live (SNL), will go head-to-head with her in two categories. Rudolph has earned a nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for Apple TV+’s Loot, and an additional nod for Best Guest Actress in a Comedy Series due to her SNL hosting stint. Additionally, Rudolph received recognition in the Best Character Voice-Over category for Netflix’s Big Mouth, and in the Best Music and Lyrics category for Saturday Night Live.
Additionally, Jonathan Pryce received nominations for two acting categories. He was recognized as the best supporting actor in a drama series for “The Crown” on Netflix, and he earned a nomination for best guest actor in a drama series for “Slow Horses” streaming on Apple TV+.
I’m thrilled to share that Paul Rudd has earned two nominations this recognition season! For one, he was nominated in the category of Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his work on Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building.” On top of that, he was also recognized as a nominee for Best Narrator in the National Geographic series, “Secrets of the Octopus.” What an amazing accomplishment!
