Sofia Vergara is broadening her Walmart domain by introducing her pre-prepared Latin cuisine brand, TOMA, on a national scale.
I’m thrilled to share that the new gaming brand, revealed just last summer, has now made its way into Walmart stores and their online platform, Walmart.com! You can find two delicious options: Colombian cheese bread called pandebono, and a pack of four ham-filled croquetas in the frozen section. The pandebono is priced at an affordable $5, while you’ll spend $7 for the ham empanadas four-pack. Enjoy the taste of adventure with every bite!

For several years, Vergara has been associated with Walmart, where she’s established a thriving clothing and swimwear line, along with a well-liked range of fragrances and accessories. The latest venture, a food brand, is a collaboration between the actress and Sam Nazarian, an experienced figure in hospitality, through his food and beverage platform, Everybody Eats. Additionally, Vergara’s son, Manolo, and Luis Balaguer from Latin World Entertainment are joining forces to establish a “groundbreaking Latin culinary brand” that aspires to blend tradition and flavor.
As a dedicated gamer, I’ve been proudly endorsing TOMA. Lately, you might have seen some behind-the-scenes snaps from my kitchen during a TOMA photo shoot, or perhaps caught a whiff of those delicious empanadas at the Monaco Grand Prix in May, during the F1 weekend. The brand has been quite busy, hosting events at places like Busch Gardens and EEEEEATSCON, just to name a few.
In a statement for the press, a judge on America’s Got Talent describes TOMA as a festive tribute to family values, customs, and the vibrant culinary heritage of Latin America. The venture features some of Vergara’s beloved dishes from her homeland Colombia, now available in the American market. Additionally, TOMA is a project deeply rooted in family, with its name being a fusion of “Toty,” Vergara’s nickname, and Manolo.
The actress expresses that TOMA is a labor of love for our family. It’s like a heartfelt message dedicated to Latin cuisine, and we are incredibly proud to share the recipes that Manolo has been refining since his childhood. By partnering with Walmart, we can spread these cherished flavors across the country, allowing everyone to experience a taste of Latin America at home.
The products “are not just restaurant quality,” adds Manolo: “they are Grandma-approved!”
All TOMA items available at Walmart are designed for easy storage as they’re frozen, offering flexibility in cooking methods. You can either heat them up using an air-fryer, bake them in the oven, or cook them by frying.
In June 2024, TOMA was unveiled with an initial lineup of eight varieties of empanadas, croquetas, pandebono, salsas and other items. The brand claims that its products are now featured on menus at over 40 locations worldwide, as well as certain items on Walmart’s online platform. For your convenience, you can place an order online for quick, same-day pickup from stores.
Beyond bolstering Vergara’s collaboration with Walmart, TOMA is also the most recent business venture from LA impresario Nazarian. This impresario, based in Los Angeles, currently operates nightclubs and restaurants such as Zouk Los Angeles, and Casa Dani by three Michelin-starred Chef Dani Garcia. In addition, Nazarian’s sbe group is preparing to debut a fresh Katsuya concept and outlet this summer within the Westfield Century City Mall.
