As a passionate admirer of art that transcends boundaries and speaks to the soul, I find myself captivated by En Iwamura‘s latest creation, “Knots.” Born in Kyoto and now residing in Montana, Iwamura’s unique blend of Eastern philosophy and Western minimalism creates a harmony that resonates deeply within me.
As a passionate admirer, I’m thrilled to share that the renowned Japanese artist En Iwamura has collaborated with The-Art-Form on an exclusive limited edition print. This marks his first foray into two-dimensional art, and the piece, titled Knots, showcases one of Iwamura’s iconic totemic busts meticulously arranged on paper, adorned with gold foil emboss and a clear foil deboss.
Ma’s philosophy, focusing on emptiness and spaces between objects, environments, and people, underpins Iwamura’s minimalist art approach. Over the past ten years, this Kyoto-born, Montana-residing artist has constructed whimsical sculptures of heads, referencing Japanese folklore and traditions like zen gardens and pottery, to establish thought-provoking environments that foster self-reflection.
Iwamura expressed his aspiration in a statement, saying, “I aim to create a sculpture that matches the scale of ‘Knots’ someday. My goal is to provide an unexpected encounter for townsfolk by placing an unusual piece in their midst – just as I have always dreamt about with my work.”
Limited to an edition of 100, Knots is available for inquiry at The-Art-Form.
