Engineered Garments and Red Wing Heritage Unite for Triple Black Irish Setter 3110

As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for both vintage aesthetics and modern minimalism, I must say that the Engineered Garments x Red Wing Heritage collaboration has truly piqued my interest. The Triple Black Irish Setter 3110, with its three different black leathers, seems to be a perfect blend of classic style and contemporary construction – right up my alley!

For the very first time, Engineered Garments and Red Wing Heritage have come together in a collaboration. They are redesigning Red Wing’s traditional Oxford style, incorporating Engineered Garments’ modern build techniques and innovative material enhancements.

The NY studio blends streetwear and design tradition to give a timeless look a contemporary, minimalist vibe. As the name suggests, the Triple Black Irish Setter 3110 features three distinct types of black leather: Black Chrome, Black Abilene Suede, and Black Prairie. Yet, it’s not just the leathers that are black; even the stitching, the tread soles, and the eyelets share this dark hue.

At a distance, it might be hard to notice the delicate changes in the black parts. Over time, every distinct part within the design is intended to acquire a distinctive aging effect due to regular use. To give it an old-world charm, the classic Irish Setter label is displayed prominently, showing the side view of a hunting dog beneath an antique logo.

Lately, it seems that EG has been focusing on footwear, with several shoe partnerships being revealed this year. The latest collaboration, with Red Wing, follows other joint projects such as the Engineered Garments x Paraboot Chambord and the Keen WK400 EG.

On October 11th, I’ll be getting my hands on the Triple Black Irish Setter 3110, as it’ll only be available at Nepenthes’ online shop and physical stores! Can’t wait to add this beauty to my gaming setup!
