As a seasoned Tarkov survivor, I’ve seen my fair share of close calls and harrowing escapes. The choice of extraction point can be as vital as a well-timed shot or a cleverly placed trap. If you’re fortunate enough to have the Emercom Checkpoint extract, consider yourself lucky mate, it’s the most reliable option by far. Just remember to keep your wits about you and your eyes peeled for any potential threats.
Luxurious Life is the toughest of Escape from Tarkov‘s opening Ground Zero quests, so this dedicated walkthrough will definitely come in handy. Follow all of the steps and tips below to locate and extract the wine with ease!
To finish up with Luxurious Life, your tasks are:
Although it may appear straightforward, it turns out to be more complicated when put into action, mainly because locating the bottle and surviving the process are quite challenging. The bottle can appear in various locations, and given the unpredictable nature of the liquor store, it’s almost like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
The ASAP Winery, or simply put, the liquor store, can be located inside the Skyside building. This building is situated midway between Fusion and the Emercom Checkpoint, with the TerraGroup building standing across from it.
Luckily, it’s situated at ground level and close to the sidewalk ramp, making it effortless to locate and access. Yet, keep in mind that the structure is predominantly made of glass, which means you’ll be quite visible once inside, so always stay vigilant about your surroundings as you search for the wine bottle.
Here comes the challenging part: The Bottle of Le Jean wine can have multiple variations, making it difficult to identify, as it doesn’t stand out visually from the many similar wine bottles found in the store.
The bottle features a green body capped with a red top, sports a ballet dancer illustration on its front face, and is identifiable as ‘Wine’ upon selection. Pay attention to these possible variations you should scrutinize:
Central stand by the main bar
Upon entering ASAP Winery, there’s a display stand positioned to your right if you’re standing near the main bar. Much like in other areas, it’s advisable to inspect both the slim, stacked shelves and the white, box-like shelves for the desired bottle.
Left of the bar
To the left of the main bar, there’s another possible location for new appearances, and it was here that I discovered the bottle upon finishing the job initially.
It’s uncertain how wide the area where things might spawn extends, but I’ll definitely inspect every shelf stacked along the back wall as a precaution.
Behind the bar
Additionally, don’t forget to explore the shelves located at the back of the main bar. They house numerous bottles, so take your time to look through each one carefully as Le Jean might be concealed amongst them and you could easily miss him if you’re not thorough.
In the storage room
Ultimately, the last possible location for a new one is hidden behind the bar counter. From my observations over time, it tends to appear exclusively in the storage room with wooden shelves. However, don’t forget to check the refrigerators labeled ‘Shake’ to your left as well, just in case you haven’t found it there.
In my gaming adventure, I stumbled upon another hidden spot where I discovered the bottle on my PvE character. It was quite a relief after I had thoroughly searched the entire store prior! But, be warned, there seems to be a link to the main Skyline building in this room. Keep your guard up as Scavs or other PMCs could unexpectedly approach if you’re not vigilant.
Here are three methods for extraction that may vary depending on the nature of the material you’re extracting and the progress of your other tasks at hand.
Emercom Checkpoint
If you happen to possess the Emercom Checkpoint extract, that would be your best choice since you’re quite near and it offers the most dependable route. To get there, look for a pair of doors in the storage area beyond the bar, as they lead directly into the main Skyside structure.
After exiting the structure, make your way to the Unity Credit Bank, a location likely known to you by now. Close by is the Emercom Checkpoint at the entrance doors past this tent. Aim towards that area so the extraction process can commence.
Mira Ave
If your primary exit or extraction spot happens to be Nakatani Basement Stairs, I’d recommend considering an alternative – the Mira Ave Extract. It’s significantly nearer and offers a safer route to access.
Exit ASAP Winery on the side, then take the highway exit ramp. At the end of this, turn right onto another road.
In my gaming experience, you’d often find a massive, sunshine-yellow bus parked on the roadside, with a fallen Scav leaning against its side. I usually scavenge the Scav for loot, and there’s a good chance I’ll find a Green Flare nearby. This flare always appears during raids, making it a reliable find. However, if I can’t spot the flare, it means someone else has probably picked it up before me. Fingers crossed they’ve already activated the extract!
If you possess the Flare, take it for a short stroll along the path until a notification about the Flare appears at the lower right corner of your screen. Once that happens, aim upward and launch the flare straight into the sky.
After the green signal appears, you should proceed ahead since the extraction point will be accessible then. However, remember to aim the flare as high as you can, as failing to do so might cause it not to ignite, leaving you vulnerable to the sniper’s fire.
As a dedicated fan, here’s how I’d rephrase that:
Police Cordon V Ex
In most cases, I’d prefer to opt for the vehicle extraction as a final solution in this situation, but if you haven’t yet finished the “Burning Rubber” mission given by Skier, then it might be necessary to consider other options.
Apart from making sure you have 5,000 rubles for the car in advance, it is crucial to remember that you’ll be putting yourself at a significant risk while you wait for the countdown on the timer to finish.
1. There’s a good possibility that the car might not be present, putting you in a tough situation. If Emercom isn’t your primary objective, if the Green Flare isn’t at Mira Ave, and if you’ve already finished Burning Rubber, I would recommend going to Nakatani. However, if you’re eager for some Scav Karma, feel free to explore other options!
