Escape from Tarkov: The Walls Have Eyes quest walkthrough

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours under my belt in Escape from Tarkov, I can wholeheartedly say that the latest quest ‘The Walls Have Eyes‘ is a refreshing challenge. The Factory map, while chaotic and claustrophobic, holds its own unique charm, and this quest adds an extra layer of excitement to it.

In the latest update, Escape from Tarkov patch 0.15, introduces a fresh mission titled ‘The Walls Have Eyes’ by Skier. This quest leads you to the Factory location where your objective is to find some cranes.

You’ll have to install cameras on these cranes, which are the focal points we’re discussing, but locating them can be quite challenging, particularly when the Factory is in such a state of disorder and confined spaces. This guide comes in handy then, as I’ve marked all four positions for you, making it simpler to finish the mission smoothly.

How to complete The Walls Have Eyes

  • Install a Wi-Fi Camera in the first crane’s cockpit on Factory
  • Install a Wi-Fi Camera in the second crane’s cockpit on Factory
  • Install a Wi-Fi Camera in the third crane’s cockpit on Factory

While each crane has a number assigned, there’s no requirement to perform them in any specific sequence or even during the same session. Just ensure that you carefully extract once you’ve planted the last one, but you’re free to perish and re-enter whenever it suits you.

Additionally, consider storing your Wi-Fi Cameras in your valuable inventory spaces. This way, they’ll survive beyond your character’s demise in the game, eliminating the necessity of purchasing new cameras for each raid.

All crane cockpit locations on Factory

By Gate 0

The initial crane can be located near Entrance 0, positioned on the southeastern part of the map. You’ll easily identify the crane due to its bright yellow body. To access the crane, you’ll have to figure out a means to ascend to the rafters and then jump down from above.

To make your ascent more straightforward, consider following the overturned trail behind the crane, as it will swiftly lead you to a vantage point from which you can then lower yourself through the circular opening into the cockpit.

In the Factory on all maps, it regrettably takes 40 seconds to plant something, which is an unusually long duration for a stationary position. Ensure there are no people around you, then attempt to find as much ‘protection’ or ‘shelter’ as possible, even though that might be challenging.

After completing the work on the plant, you’ll realize that you can’t ascend the ladder or return to the upper level anymore. Instead, you’ll have to navigate through the cockpit window and make your way down below.

Falling from this height to the floor is likely to result in a broken and unconscious leg, putting you in a tough spot. Instead, it would be better for you to exit through the left window and land on the blue cargo container. From there, you can safely drop down without causing any harm to yourself.

By Medical Tent

You might want to move to the crane located near the Medical Tent next. It’s situated to the southeast on your map, or simply straight ahead if you’re viewing from the cockpit of the Gate 0 crane.

The crane is located to the left and slightly overhead from the medical tent. You can access it by using the stairs situated near the tent’s front entrance. After descending, you’ll be able to enter the crane cabin from above.

To return to ground level safely, aim to descend by moving rightward towards the blue circular items, which serve as a stepping stone to reach the floor without incurring damage. Please note that this region is quite bustling, and you will be visible from all directions while there, so exercise caution when maneuvering and departing from this area.

By Gate 3

While there is no strict ‘order’, I’d definitely recommend heading to the Gate 3 crane last. If you’ve had any time with Factory then you should definitely be familiar with Gate 3’s location as it’s the primary extract, but if you’re heading from the Medical Tent you’ll want to continue north and then head left once you’ve passed the broken helicopter tail.

At this spot, the crane is situated overhead and slightly to the right of the Gate. Climbing up might require some distance, but here are your options:

Upon arriving at the peak, make your way towards the crane, then lower yourself into the cockpit to initiate the planting operation. This locale is particularly hazardous due to heavy foot traffic, so keep a keen eye on your surroundings and cross your fingers that no one notices you as they rush by.

You might consider this final action due to the suboptimal condition of the exit, which could result in a fractured leg or more. I’ve managed to safely descend by jumping onto the metal pipes located behind the crane, but landing there can be quite challenging.

In such a situation, I’d advise you to quickly swallow a painkiller, then make a beeline for the floor and sprint towards Gate 3 without delay. The painkiller will help you keep moving even with broken or numb legs, but it’s crucial that you extract as swiftly as possible after that.
