Esha Deol is preparing for the premiere of her upcoming movie, Tumko Meri Kasam, which is helmed by Vikram Bhatt. This will mark her comeback to cinema after a gap of 14 years, and she’s been busy giving promotional interviews, sharing intriguing insights.
During a recent chat with The Quint, Esha Deol was asked about the most peculiar gossip circulating around her during her early days in the industry. In response, she clarified, “I was often connected to many of my co-stars at that time. Some of those associations might have been accurate, yet a significant number were not.
She shared that people had attempted to associate her with Ajay Devgn. In reality, she has a remarkable and distinct relationship with Ajay, characterized by mutual respect, affection, and appreciation. This idea struck her as quite peculiar.
As a devoted admirer, I’d like to express my perspective regarding those rampant rumors. I believe these tales might have been concocted, given the frequent collaborations I had with Mr. Devgn in numerous film projects back then.
For those not familiar, Ajay and Esha have acted together in numerous films such as Yuva, Main Aisha Hi Hoon, Kaal, Insan, and Cash. In 2022, they teamed up again for a web series called Rudra: The Edge of Darkness, which is a psychological crime thriller that also stars Rashii Khanna in a significant role.
Esha Deol, last spotted in the 2011 movie Tell Me O Kkhuda, is all set to return to the big screen with Vikram Bhatt’s Tumko Meri Kasam. Alongside her are Adah Sharma, Anupam Kher, and Ishwak Singh in significant roles. Drawing loosely from the life of Dr. Ajay Murdia, the founder of Indira IVF, this movie is set to hit theaters on March 21, 2025.
Upcoming next for Ajay Devgn is the movie “Raid 2” where he will act alongside Vaani Kapoor. In this film by Rajkumar Gupta, he will once again play the character IRS officer Amay Patnaik. The release date is set for May 1, 2025. Additionally, he has two other films in progress: “De De Pyaar De 2” and “Son of Sardaar 2”.
