Eva Longoria Teases Her Character on ‘Only Murders in the Building’ Season 4: “I Have Such Funny Lines”

As a huge fan of “Only Murders in the Building,” I can hardly contain my excitement for Eva Longoria joining the cast in the upcoming fourth season! Her recent interview with IndieWire where she shared her experience working on the show left me absolutely thrilled.

Eva Longoria shares a sneak peek with fans of “Only Murders in the Building” about what to anticipate regarding her role in the forthcoming fourth season.

Recently, the former Desperate Housewives star spoke with IndieWire about her part in the popular mystery comedy-drama. In this production, she portrays a version of herself.

“I learned I’d be on the show, and my friends reacted with surprise, asking, ‘Which character are you playing? Are you the villain?’ I replied, ‘Nope. But let me share, it’s a role that holds dear significance for me: It’s mine own!'”

Martin Short, Steve Martin, and Selena Gomez’s latest collaboration in the series finds them in Los Angeles upon hearing that a film studio intends to adapt their podcast into a movie. Simultaneously, they delve into the enigma surrounding the demise of Charles (Martin)’s stunt double Sazz.

In the fourth season, Longoria appears as a character based on herself, portraying Mabel (Gomez’s role), in a film adaptation of their podcast.

As a fan, I’d describe it this way: “I can’t believe the hilarious lines I get to deliver on ‘Land of Women,'” I exclaim. “The showrunner, John Hoffman, phoned me recently and shared, ‘Episode 7 has us laughing uncontrollably. We can’t progress with editing or providing notes because we keep rewinding and chuckling.’ I mean, who am I to argue? With stars like Meryl Streep, Melissa McCarthy, Zach Galifianakis, Eugene Levy, Steve, Marty, and Selena around, it’s a dream come true. Working on that set was nothing short of surreal. And being in the presence of acting legends like Meryl? It’s simply mind-blowing.”

As a dedicated fan of “Only Murders in the Building,” I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with fellow enthusiasts! August 27th is marked in my calendar, folks, as that’s when the next episode installment drops on Hulu. And guess what? I can’t wait to immerse myself in more intriguing mysteries unfolding within the captivating world of this show.
