Every Western Coming to Tubi in September 2024

As a lifelong enthusiast of Western films, I can confidently say that September 2024 is shaping up to be an unparalleled month for fans like myself. Tubi, the streaming platform that never disappoints, has outdone itself yet again by adding some absolute gems from the genre’s golden age.

Since its launch in 2014, Tubi has consistently been a dependable streaming service, demonstrated by the fact that it currently caters to over 80 million monthly active users, as of May 2024. Its popularity might be attributed to the fact that it’s an ad-supported platform, meaning users don’t necessarily need a subscription to enjoy its content. Although its user base is not as expansive as Netflix or Prime Video, it still represents a commendable figure.

On Tubi, you’ll find an array of film genres, including horror and the highly demanded Westerns. Interestingly, Westerns have been a top choice among viewers on our platform. In fact, we’re always adding new Western films each month. By the way, check out these thrilling Western movies joining Tubi in September 2024 – you won’t want to miss them!

A Fistful of Dollars (1964)

Streaming September 1

1964’s “A Fistful of Dollars” is a classic spaghetti Western movie, skillfully directed by Sergio Leone, who also brought us “Once Upon a Time in the West.” In this film, Clint Eastwood, famously known for his role in “Unforgiven,” made his debut as the leading man. This low-budget masterpiece, with an estimated production cost of just $200,000, laid the foundation for the spaghetti Western genre.

In the movie “A Fistful of Dollars,” a nameless, swift-handed drifter in a poncho arrives at San Miguel, a town divided by rival gangs, the Baxters and the Rojos, who have been feuding for years. He sees a chance to manipulate both sides for profit but faces the danger of provoking their wrath after such a daring move; will he survive? The film will be available on Tubi starting September 1.

For a Few Dollars More (1965)

Streaming September 1

In 1965, the movie titled “For a Few More Dollars” was released, marking another masterpiece in the Western genre by director Sergio Leone and starring Clint Eastwood. This film came as a follow-up to their successful collaboration on “A Fistful of Dollars“, released in 1964, that significantly transformed the Western movie landscape. “For a Few More Dollars” is the second installment in the trilogy known as the “Dollars Trilogy“, preceded by “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly“. The story revolves around the character often referred to as the “Man with No Name”, who arrives in Tucumcari 18 months after his legendary duel.

In this instance, an unidentified bounty hunter is pursuing El Indio (Gian Maria Volonte), a ruthless bandit chief planning to attack the impregnable Bank of El Paso. As circumstances worsen, the Man with No Name joins forces with Colonel Douglas Mortimer (Lee Van Cleef), an expert shot with concealed motives. Will the nameless American manage to survive the upcoming onslaught for a little more compensation? The movie “For A Few Dollars More” will become available on Tubi on Sept. 1.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966)

Streaming September 1

The Dollars Trilogy would be incomplete without The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, which is arguably the best of the three films. This September, Tubi will release the entire trilogy, with The Good, the Bad and the Ugly following on Sept.1. The film, released in 1966, is somewhat different from the other films in the trilogy in that it has three actors in the leading roles instead of one or two.

As a big fan, I can’t help but express my awe for the iconic trio: Clint Eastwood embodies “the Good,” Lee Van Cleef breathes life into “the Bad,” and Eli Wallach masterfully portrays “the Ugly.” With the high bar set by its predecessors, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly exceeded all expectations, raking in an impressive $38.9 million against a budget of just $1.2 million.

As a passionate film buff with a penchant for the Wild West, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news: On September 1st, you can stream “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” right here, uninterrupted! This timeless masterpiece, set amidst the backdrop of the American Civil War, follows three distinct characters as they vie for a $200,000 consignment of Confederate gold. If you’re a fan of the genre, this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss!

The Magnificent Seven (1960)
