As a gamer, I find this feature incredibly useful when I’m on a mission to conquer the game map completely or gather all hidden items before progressing further.
Zelda and Friends Are Whispering Secrets Now
The map is dotted with audio diaries, also referred to as Voice Memories.
As you venture through these worlds, you’ll uncover fresh pieces of the narrative and backstory. In Breath of the Wild, you might find notes from Zelda, while in Tears of the Kingdom, you may come across characters like Rauru, Zelda, and Master Kohga.
They come fully voiced and introduce insights that were left out of the base games.
Sharing Builds Has Never Been Easier
For those playing Tears of the Kingdom, Zelda Notes includes a system for sharing builds.
Once you’ve crafted an amazing creation using Ultrahand – whether it’s a unique vehicle, robot, or something offbeat – you have the option to save your masterpiece as a QR code, making it easy to share across the internet.
Others can quickly replicate your creation within their game using your provided code, which caters to those who appreciate the creative aspects of TOTK without needing to start from scratch.
In Zelda Notes, you can now exchange various items such as prepared dishes, weapons, resources, and even build designs. This new feature creates a simple, casual trading system which was previously absent in the game.
Medals, Milestones, and Bragging Rights
Zelda Notes introduces a medal system that acts as an achievement.
You’ll receive rewards when you accomplish tasks such as vanquishing a specific amount of adversaries, gathering a large quantity of coins (rupees), or traversing significant distances.
The medals you earn come with catchy titles such as “Monster’s Nemesis” or “Treasure Seeker”. In the App’s ‘My Play Data’ section, you can monitor your daily statistics, while the ‘Global Play Data’ leaderboard lets you compare yourself to players worldwide.
Little Perks That Make Every Login Worth It
You can spin a digital bonus wheel inside Zelda Notes once a day.

The app keeps track of Amiibo usage and includes a reward system.
After scanning an Amiibo figure five times, it will be upgraded so that it can be scanned and used twice daily as opposed to only once each day.
It keeps a record of which ones you’ve used and the bonuses they gave you.

In simple terms, if you own either Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom on the initial Nintendo Switch, your saved progress will transfer smoothly to the new Nintendo Switch 2 versions without any hassle.
Additionally, you’ll gain access to an extra manual save point, enabling you to embark on a fresh adventure without overwriting your ongoing game.
On June 5, 2025, we’ll be releasing the updated versions and the Zelda Notes app. If you’re already a subscriber of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, you’ll get this upgrade for free!
