For quite some time, Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty have consistently teamed up for blockbuster movies such as Zameen, Golmaal, Sunday, All The Best, Golmaal Returns, Golmaal 3, Singham, Bol Bachchan, Singham Returns, Simmba, Golmaal Again, Sooryavanshi, and Singham Again. This dynamic duo is highly respected in the Indian film industry for their long-standing collaboration that spans over decades. Now, we’ve learned exclusively that they will be working together again in 2026, with their 14th project rumored to be Golmaal Five.
According to the report, Rohit Shetty is currently filming a biopic about Rakesh Maria featuring John Abraham in Mumbai. The production of this film is set to conclude by September 2025, with plans to finalize the edit by the end of this year for an early 2026 release. Once completed with the Rakesh Maria Biopic, Rohit Shetty will immediately begin preparations for Golmaal FIVE and start shooting in February/March 2026. The storyline for Golmaal FIVE has been established, and the process of writing the screenplay is already underway.
A new group of writers are currently developing the script for ‘Golmaal FIVE’, with a completion deadline set for September 2025. This includes dialogue writing and fine-tuning stages. Notably, this film will bring back Ajay Devgn along with Arshad Warsi, Tushar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade, Johnny Lever, and others from the original cast. This much-anticipated comedy series, renowned for its popularity and success in Indian cinema, is expected to premiere in the first half of 2027.
Before diving into Golmaal FIVE, Ajay Devgn is set to complete filming for Ranger, Total Dhamaal, Drishyam 2 (and several others).
