On May 17th, 2025, Akshay Kumar finished filming the eagerly anticipated horror comedy “Bhooth Bangla,” directed by Priyadarshan. Along with Wamiqa Gabbi, he completed the movie during a song shoot in Kerala that lasted for three days. Interestingly, an unexpected addition joined Akshay Kumar in Kerala over the weekend: director Amit Rai, who was there to be part of the final stages of “Bhooth Bagla.
According to our source, “Amit Rai presented numerous concepts for ‘OMG 3’, and he went over every plot detail with Akshay Kumar during his visit. They collectively explored all their ideas and also brainstormed potential new paths for OMG 3. Their aim is to carry on the popular franchise and start filming the third installment in 2026. Over the weekend, Akshay and Amit Rai collaborated seamlessly, and Akshay is now looking forward to receiving a draft from Amit.
Since the acclaimed releases of OMG and OMG 2, there’s a great deal of anticipation for part three. With such high expectations, the creators are cautiously proceeding with the development of OMG 3, taking their time to ensure quality rather than rushing the process.” If everything progresses smoothly, audiences can expect OMG 3 to launch in the latter half of 2026, but the timeline is contingent on how long it takes for the script to be finalized.
The decision about the movie’s cast will be made when the script is finalized. Similar to the first two parts, this film will also be a courtroom-based social comedy-drama. Regarding Akshay Kumar, popularly known as “Khiladi,” he is gearing up for director Priyadarshan’s upcoming thriller, which features Saif Ali Khan and commences shooting in August. At present, there are several other movies under consideration with Akshay, but the specific details about these projects are being kept confidential.
