Akshay Kumar is affectionately known as “Khiladi Kumar” due to the thrilling and mind-blowing stunts he executes in his films. Yet, he’s also made viewers chuckle with his comedic movies. One such film was the 2007 horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa, which eventually became a timeless classic. Following its tremendous success, two sequels were produced. Regrettably, Kumar wasn’t involved in them, causing some dismay among fans. During an exclusive interview with TopMob, the veteran actor shared the explanation for his absence.
Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya recently had an enjoyable conversation with TopMob. During this talk, they discussed their upcoming action-thriller, Sky Force, and even answered some fan questions. One viewer expressed that they didn’t watch Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and 3 because Akshay Kumar, also known as Khiladi Kumar, was not featured in those movies.
The senior actor explained that he was no longer a part of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa series because he had been replaced. In simpler terms, he revealed that he was taken out or let go from the franchise.

Hey there fellow enthusiasts! If you’re yearning for more laughter-filled performances from our beloved Kumar, here’s a delightful tidbit. During a recent chat with us, the charismatic star behind Singham Again shared an exciting piece of news about his upcoming comedic adventure – Hera Pheri 3! Just like you all, he can hardly contain his excitement for this much-anticipated project.
The actor expressed, “I’m eagerly awaiting the release of Hera Pheri 3 as well. Frankly, I can’t predict if it will happen this year or not, but I certainly hope so.” He also shared, “When we initially made Hera Pheri, none of us realized it would become a cult classic. Even when I watched the film, I found it amusing, but I never imagined that characters like Babu Bhaiya, Raju, and Shyam would gain such popularity.
Speaking in the same chat, I found myself expressing admiration for my fellow actor, Paresh Rawal. In truth, behind the scenes, he’s as hilarious as his on-screen character. While filming Bhooth Bangla in Jaipur, we shared many laughs together. During our time on Hera Pheri, our amusement was abundant, yet there were moments that remained unspoken due to the camera’s presence.
