After more than ten years, Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan will collaborate again for Ekta Kapoor’s horror-comedy film Bhooth Bangla. The movie started production in 2024 and is now nearing completion. Insiders claim that Akshay Kumar is scheduled to finish shooting for Bhooth Bangla on May 15, with an extended shoot in Hyderabad. “By wrapping up on May 15, Akshay will bring a close to his 85-day stint with Bhooth Bangla. This project required more time from Akshay than usual, and he has been dedicated to meeting the filming schedule’s deadlines,” said a source.

Akshay will start another unnamed thriller movie, directed by Priyadarshan, in August. This movie will have him facing off against Saif Ali Khan, and it’s planned for release in 2026. As per the source, Akshay has three upcoming films with Priyadarshan – Bhooth Bangla, an unnamed thriller, and Hera Pheri 3, which is set to begin production in 2026.
