As a child growing up in the glamorous world of Bollywood, I was no stranger to the silver screen. Yet, it was not until I stepped into a theater and watched Amitabh Bachchan in Ajooba that I truly fell in love with the magic of cinema. Even today, the memory of his superhero getup remains vivid in my mind. It’s ironic, isn’t it? The son of a filmmaker, discovering his passion for films through a trail of an already classic movie. But hey, who needs a red carpet when you have the silver screen, right?
Arjun Kapoor hails from a family deeply rooted in cinema; he’s the offspring of director Boney Kapoor. Growing up amidst the glitz and glamour of Bollywood, he remained starstruck by the industry and its icons. More recently, the actor reminisced about his past, sharing that Ajooba, featuring Amitabh Bachchan, was the first movie he ever saw at a theater.
He mentioned that he watched the movies “Ajooba” much later in his life. The first theatrical film he vividly remembers is one he attended a trial for and saw “Ajooba.” Interestingly, this movie has since grown into a film of its own, and I still remember it distinctly because of the superhero-like costume worn by Ajooba.
