EXCLUSIVE: Ashley Park And Lucien Laviscount Opens Up About Their Emily In Paris Journey; 'Such A Big Part Of My Life'

As a dedicated follower of this delightful series, I eagerly await the arrival of Emily In Paris Season 4, particularly the return of Ashley Park as Mindy Chen and Lucien Laviscount as Alfie. Their characters have become more than just on-screen personas; they’ve woven themselves into my life experiences in surprising ways.

Ashley Park and Lucien Laviscount will reappear in Netflix’s Emily In Paris as Mindy Chen and Alfie in Season 4, set to premiere on August 15, 2024. Before the series airs, TopMob had a unique opportunity for an exclusive interview with these stars, where they discussed their experiences on the show and even shared which season is their favorite.

In an exclusive chat, Ashley opened up about her character Mindy and its profound impact on her. She shared, “Mindy has become a significant part of my existence and serves as a catalyst for various facets of my life, including my relationships – like the one with Paul [Forman], who is more than just a best friend to me.”

In a deeper exploration, the actress shared insights about how her on-screen persona significantly influenced her real life, offering her unique expertise in areas such as fashion, travel, and beyond.

She admitted, “I hadn’t had much experience or background in fashion, Europe, traveling, and so on. These experiences have significantly shaped my life, my values, and what I prioritize. Additionally, playing this role is incredibly meaningful to me.” The actress emphasized this point further.

During a chat with TopMob, actor Lucien Laviscount (who portrays Alfie) walked us through the upcoming voyage of his character, following intense emotional scenes in the last season.

He mentioned that “[Alfie] has become deeply smitten, both with someone and with the city itself. What truly makes this city unique is the people he’s been acquainted with. I believe by the end of season 3, this connection gets taken away from him, and in season 4, we delve deeper into Alfie’s more exposed emotional state.”

Laviscout shared with us an exclusive insight about the depths of Alfie we haven’t seen before, as well as a profound sense of self-discovery and vulnerability that will be featured in season 4.

As for their preferred season, the pair found it difficult for Ashley Park to choose just one, as she described them as unique and compared their distinct qualities to the various years of college: sophomore, junior, senior year, and freshman year.

She went on to discuss the steady advancements they had achieved throughout each season, starting with “We could only spend time together,” followed by, “Now we have a decent grasp of the city, but this is our third season and we find ourselves saying, ‘Oh, we’re getting it now.'” She also mentioned, “Each stage is unique in its own right.”

In response to Laviscount’s input, they both shared their consensus that season 3 stood out as their preferred choice. He then revealed to us that he enjoyed season 3 immensely, finding it a unique experience for him as he felt he integrated more with the show and Paris lifestyle. However, he also appreciated this current season, albeit he didn’t get to interact much with his co-star [Park] during filming.

Ashley Park, Lucien Laviscount are set to join Lily Collins, Lucas Bravo, Camille Razat, Kate Walsh, and William Abadie in the first part of Emily in Paris Season 4, premiering on Netflix on August 15. The second part will follow on September 12.
