As a seasoned observer of the cinematic landscape, I find myself deeply intrigued by the impending collaboration between Imtiaz Ali and Fahadh Faasil, aptly titled “Idiots of Istanbul.” Having had the privilege to traverse both Bollywood and global film industries, I can confidently say that this union promises an exciting fusion of artistic brilliance.
TopMob recently informed you that Imtiaz Ali’s next with Pushpa 2 star Fahadh Faasil and Triptii Dimri is titled Idiots of Istanbul. The South star is currently enjoying the success of his recently released film, meanwhile, veteran actor Rajesh Khattar who has dubbed his character in the Hindi version, called him a ‘wonderful actor’ as he reacted to his Bollywood debut.
During an exclusive conversation with TopMob, Rajesh Khattar expressed his thoughts on Fahadh Faasil’s entry into Hindi films, saying, “I believe it was long overdue for him to make a Hindi movie. I don’t prefer the term ‘Bollywood’, but yes, in a Hindi production. It was high time he appeared here and took part in a film. I’m thrilled that he’s taking this step.
As a fervent admirer, let me express my feelings about Fahadh Faasil – a man whose acting skills are simply unparalleled. To put it succinctly, he’s a marvelous artist that everyone acknowledges. I’ve had the privilege of witnessing his work, and as an aspiring actor myself, I can appreciate his craft to a depth that few can fathom. His talent is nothing short of extraordinary.
Earlier this year, we at TopMob were first to share the exciting news about Imtiaz Ali and Fahadh Faasil teaming up, marking the Malayalam star’s entrance into the Hindi film industry.
Most recently, we also informed you that the film is titled Idiots of Istanbul and Jab Harry Met Sejal’s director is switching genre from intense romance to a slice-of-life romantic comedy. A source close to the development shared with us that the story that features Triptii Dimri in the lead role demands a title like Idiots of Istanbul, as the two key characters are on a journey to the largest city in Turkey.
Additionally, we learned that the movie will take approximately three months to film, with locations in both India and Europe. Furthermore, it’s been disclosed that the preparatory work for the production has already started since Imtiaz Ali has finished his location scouting.
